I’m incredibly proud of my friend, @richardperque and the campaign he ran. Anyone who truly knows Richard knows that his passion for people and this community is genuine. Throughout this entire journey, he showed up, worked hard, connected with people face-to-face, and led with integrity, compassion, and purpose.

Running for office is never easy, but Richard handled this race with grace, determination, and heart. While this election may not have ended the way we hoped, I have absolutely no doubt that Richard will continue to do amazing things for this city and for the people he serves every single day.

It was truly an honor to stand beside him during this campaign, and I’m beyond grateful to everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in him along the way. This is not the end it’s only part of the journey. The best is still ahead my friend 😘❤️⚜️

There’s something powerful about watching someone chase a vision bigger than themselves. Over the last year, I had the opportunity to document Richard Perque’s campaign journey, and one thing I can say is this regardless of the outcome, the amount of sacrifice, pressure, faith, and resilience it takes to run for office is something most people will never fully understand. People only see election night. They don’t see the long days, the constant conversations, the moments of doubt, or the responsibility of carrying so many people’s hopes on your back while still trying to remain human through it all. Saturday night, I watched people embrace Richard not because of a win or loss, but because of the impact he made on them throughout this journey. And that matters. Because character is revealed most in moments like these, when the cameras are still rolling, the emotions are real, and you still choose to stand tall. Respect to my friend for having the courage to step forward and serve with purpose.
