"Integument".I am not a knight I have no armor forged in steel It is comprised of skin Every blow, cut, bruise, burn I feel Tattered and bloodied Charred and broken Stories and shadows written Layers of feelings left unspoken Wear and tear undeniable Yet, carried through the darkest Of days and coldest of nights The weight of everything inconsequential What I hold within is immeasurable The fight continues, as it always does I will enter the fray proudly adorned In my armor of scar and scorn To battle for those unknown So that they may see they're not alone .Thank you to everyone who takes time out of their day to read my writing.
