What do men want? Lower prices, decent jobs, and a bit less corruption would do nicely for starters.

Too many boys and men are falling behind at school, at work, and in their communities. But sport has the power to change the trajectory. 🏆

When we noticed declines in boys' sports participation, we teamed up with the @American Institute for Boys and Men to better understand their experiences today. We recently published the Boys in Sports report with insights and recommendations for meeting boys' needs.

Now, it’s time to turn insights into action. 💥

Imagine that you’re someone that struggles with drinking. But you manage to get yourself out of the bar and then the bartender runs after you with another bottle. Rather than cutting you off, they’re actually chasing you down to give you more of the thing you’re trying to run away from.

Young men are the new swing voters.

And I think what was missing in the 2024 election was a real policy agenda for boys and men, one that doesn’t turn back the clock on women. Now, that lane is wide open, and women and men have to figure this out together. by @richardvreeves

How have expectations for motherhood and fatherhood changed in recent decades?

On this episode of No More Sidewalks, host Abby McCloskey speaks with Richard Reeves, president of the American Institute for Boys and Men, and Anne-Marie Slaughter, former CEO of New America, about the rise of intensive parenting, evolving family structures, and the new narratives around parenting emerging online.

They also discuss what households, employers, and policymakers can do to better support parents and make childrearing more sustainable. Their full conversation at the link in our bio 🔗 by @richardvreeves

🗣️ Introducing Manifest: the inaugural Global Summit for Men and Boys.

Two of the most influential voices shaping the international conversation on men and boys, @richardvreeves and @profgalloway, will anchor the keynote programme at the first-ever Manifest summit.

Taking place at the QEII Centre in Westminster on Thursday 17th June 2027, Manifest will bring together practitioners, researchers, policymakers, grass-roots organisations and funders from around the world.

The summit is launched today by the Centre for Policy Research on Men and Boys (CPRMB) in partnership with the @aibm_org (AIBM).

CPRMB Director, Nick Isles, said, “The people working with men and boys in this country and elsewhere do serious work, largely on their own and without sufficient sight of one another. Manifest, delivered with our partners at the American Institute for Boys and Men, is the sector’s first shared global platform.”

@richardvreeves, President of the @aibm_org, said, “The evidence on outcomes for boys and men, in education, mental health and early mortality, is now clear enough on both sides of the Atlantic that the argument has moved from whether to what. Manifest brings the people best placed to answer that question together. AIBM is a partner in it because the work is transatlantic and international and the fields on either side need to move in parallel.”

Further speakers, drawn from across the sector, will be announced in the coming weeks. Ten mainstage Spotlights curated by CPRMB carry the sector’s own voices on the day. A further set of advocacy slots in the breakout rooms carry practitioner and research argument straight from the floor.

Manifest will conclude with the signing of a ten-point Accord reflecting the issues and actions those gathered will address in the year ahead.

Places open today at Super Early Booking rates, held for the first 100 seats.
