📚🍺 POE + PINTS IN SHOCKOE BOTTOM

Looking for an easy RVA afternoon? Pair a little Richmond history with a local beer.

We started at The Poe Museum, wandering through the exhibits, artifacts and garden dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe and his connection to Richmond. There’s something especially fitting about exploring Poe’s world right in historic Shockoe Bottom. 🖤

Then it was just a short hop over to Richbrau Brewing for a completely different kind of RVA history lesson. 🍻 @richbraubrewing @poemuseum

Our pours:
🍺 Richbrau Hefeweizen — a classic wheat beer
🍋 4th Street Horribles — a sour ale

🏈 Bills fans, take note: Richbrau is also a great game-day stop to grab a beer and cheer on Buffalo.

Museum ➡️ brewery. Culture ➡️ craft beer.
That’s a pretty solid Richmond afternoon.

📌 SAVE this pairing for your next Shockoe Bottom day.

What other two RVA spots make the perfect afternoon combo?

Follow @staywillowrva for more places to eat, drink & explore around Richmond.

🚨Breaking News... & Tables🚨

@richbraubrewing got together with the One & Only, Buffalo legend - @stevechristie1888 to make a beer good enough to call * Steve Christie's Upright Brigade.* A 4.8% abv Buffalo Red Ale crusher!

The tables are nervous.
The taps are loaded.
And somewhere, Steve is lining one up from 50.

Upright Brigade ~ Buffalo Red Ale is here. A smooth, malt-forward 4.8% ABV red ale brewed for Steve Christie, the Buffalo faithful, and anyone who knows that Sundays in Buffalo are less of a football game and more of a lifestyle.

DROPS 9/12 ~ 12oz Cans

Break tables. Drink Upright.
LET’S. GO. BUFFALO. 🦬🍺

Don’t let the rain keep you away. 🌧️🍺

Our Hefeweizen is pouring this Friday, 7/24.

Light, hazy, and packed with notes of banana, bubblegum, and clove, it’s crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you’ll want once the sun decides to make an appearance.
