🥊 CARMEN | CHOKDEE FIGHT TEAM 🖤💗

A TRUE CHAMPION — INSIDE AND OUT. 👊

Carmen worked incredibly hard in preparation for her first fight at the Novice British Championships, stepping up to take on a huge challenge and showing just how much progress she has made.

She was looking strong, determined and ready to give it everything. Sadly, her fight journey took an unexpected and devastating turn when she suffered a serious break to her arm.

But what stood out just as much as her performance was the way Carmen handled the situation. She showed incredible composure, courage and resilience through what was a really difficult experience. ❤️

And if that wasn’t enough, she’s already back in the gym, finding ways to keep training and working around her injury while she recovers!

That is the mindset we love to see at Chokdee. It’s not just about what happens on fight day or whether you get your hand raised. It’s about the work you put in, how you handle adversity and the determination to keep moving forward when things don’t go to plan.

Carmen, we are so proud of you. Your fighting journey is only just beginning, and this setback will never define what you’re capable of achieving.

Champions aren’t made only in the ring. They’re made in the moments when life tests them. 🖤💗

Keep smiling, keep grafting and focus on your recovery. We’ll be right behind you every step of the way! 👊 @eleanor_s25 @carmengraceharding @richcadden @coach_jo.cadden #fyp #muaythai #stronggirls #york by @richcadden

🥊 JAMES | CHOKDEE FIGHT TEAM 🥊

🏆 STRAIGHT NOVICE FINAL — CHAMPION! 🏆

What a performance from James! 🖤💛

James stepped into the ring for a straight novice final and came away with the win! 👊

Showing incredible determination, heart and fighting spirit, James delivered a fantastic performance and proved exactly what it means to keep pushing when things get tough.

Despite suffering with an injured foot, he persevered, dug deep and refused to give up. That resilience is what makes this victory even more special.

At Chokdee, we’re incredibly proud of James, not just for the result, but for his attitude, commitment and willingness to battle through adversity.

Winning a final is an achievement to be proud of, and James has earned every bit of this one.

A champion’s mindset is about more than winning — it’s about the determination to keep going when things get tough. 🥊

Well done, James! We look forward to seeing what comes next. The journey continues! 🖤💛 Thanks to the Chokdee team @richcadden @coach_jo.cadden @duncb_chokdee thanks to @steve_broome @richardsmith_badcompany_gym @lisabadco @muaythai.gb #fyp #muaythai #thaiboxing #britishcamps by @richcadden

🥊 JACKSON | CHOKDEE FIGHT TEAM 🥊

What a performance from Jackson! 👊🖤💛

Having trained with us for just 5 months, with absolutely no previous martial arts experience, no interclubs and no fights, Jackson stepped into the ring for his first major test.

Having only just turned 16, he took on an older, more experienced opponent representing a well-established local gym — and rose to the challenge brilliantly.

The overall result was a draw, but as this was a straight novice final, the championship round was awarded to his opponent. We genuinely thought Jackson had done enough to take it, and we weren’t alone in that opinion.

Regardless of the result, Jackson delivered an incredible, strong performance, showing real heart, composure and determination beyond his experience.

At Chokdee, we’re incredibly proud of how far he has come in such a short time. This is only the beginning of his journey, and we’re excited to see what he can achieve with continued training, hard work and the right mindset.

The result is one moment. The progress is what matters. 🖤💛 Massive Thanks to @steve_broome @lisabadco @richardsmith_badcompany_gym at @muaythai.gb for the great opportunities and a great show despite everything 🙏

Well done, Jackson. Keep grafting — your journey is just getting started! 👊#fyp #muaythai #thaiboxing #yorkmuaythai @richcadden @duncb_chokdee @coach_jo.cadden @jacksonshepherd39 by @richcadden

Good to help run the opening day for @team_gb_mma yesterday. Met some good prospects, saw some old faces and some of the team behind it all. Our lads had a top session and help their own too. A positive step for the sport and I’m looking forward to being a part of helping amateurs hit the world stage, and support bringing MMA to the olympics in the next 10 years. taken in British Wrestling by @richcadden
