Tune in to catch me guest starring on tonight’s episode of @911onabc “D.I.Y.” I’m back in uniform and ready to cause some trouble. 🚨

A big thank you to Shawn Dawson at UDK for bringing me to the party as well as director @shiriappleby for her positivity and creativity on set. Getting to work opposite the dynamic @tasha4realsmith @corinne.massiah and @yourstrulytheboy___ made the experience one I won’t soon forget. And running into my friend @hashtagmattyb was icing on the cake!

Shoutout to my team @establishedartists and Global Artists for their encouragement, support, and consistent belief that it’s all possible. 💫

Running out of 2020 like...⁣
⁣
Hard to believe it’s finally here. I’m honored to be part of this groundbreaking film written and directed by Christopher Nolan. A few fun facts about this photo (without spoilers).⁣
⁣
Before filming we trained stunts and military tactics for a couple of weeks with real life hero, former Navy SEAL, Duffy Gaver. ⁣
⁣
Shot on IMAX, we had one take to nail this massive practical rooftop explosion. ⁣
⁣
Christopher Nolan is known to film and utilize “happy accidents” in his films so as I was running out of the exploding building my main thought was, “whatever happens just don’t slip and fall on your ass cause it’ll be in the movie.” ⁣
⁣
Aside from being one of the coolest men in Hollywood, John David Washington is also one of the fastest. Before becoming an actor he was a star running back in college who was drafted by the Rams. He was wearing 30 pounds of gear in this scene and as I was sprinting beside him with all the adrenaline of a mongoose being chased by a snake, I still couldn’t keep up. ⁣
⁣
He also brought an indescribable level of positivity to set each day. It was impossible for the whole cast and crew not to get swept up in his daily enthusiasm, work ethic, and drive.⁣
⁣
This sequence was filmed at the Linnahall Concert Hall in Tallinn, Estonia with hundreds of enthusiastic Estonian background actors. ⁣
⁣
I’m incredibly proud of the work we did and so excited for you to see it. ⁣

It was 10 years ago when I last stepped on stage to perform in a musical and I didn’t know if and when I’d do it again.

Then @lainiesaka called and asked if I would jump in and play one of the leads in a new musical adaptation of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet based on the brilliant novel by @jamieford. Three days of rehearsal. An extraordinary cast and creative team and two sold-out performances at Seattle’s Historic Langston Hughes Theater.

What followed was one of the most meaningful artistic experiences I’ve had in years.

This beautiful story reminds us that love endures, memory matters, and that even in times marked by war, fear, and prejudice, our shared humanity can prevail. To tell that story alongside such talented, generous artists was a gift.

My heart is full of gratitude for old friendships, new connections, the courage to say yes, and the reminder that sometimes the things we love have a way of finding their way back to us.

Thank you to everyone who made this production possible, and to the audiences who filled the theater and shared this journey with us.

What a whirlwind weekend. Congratulations to all who presented the stage adaptation of @jamieford beloved beautiful novel The Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet @cobasmusical . Shout to all the cast for working so quickly- it was fast and furious- and Seattle community for showing up and supporting and selling out the 2 day run. Thank to the great musicians - including our fantastic composer @paulfujimotonyc and crew and the Langston Hughes Theater for presenting it. And big congratulations to our leader @lainiesaka for working tirelessly, faithfully, and infusing her positivity and enthusiasm and passion and professionalism into this beautiful show. These stories are so important (please read the novel if you haven’t) and resonates on so many levels (struggles btw cultures, father and son conflicts, the history of the Japanese internment camps in World War 2 and the effects on community, love of jazz music and how it pulls communities together). I’m so honored to have taken a small part of the development of this show. Here’s to showing how we find new opportunities in telling these stories. Now I’m going to bed…❤️ by @richcerauloko

Epic first trip away as a couple since our son was born. I’m forever grateful to my cousin @mran1 for providing such a beautiful home for all of us to explore Ischia and deepen the bonds of our beautiful, crazy, close knit Italian family.

Not pictured: 2 scratched up cars, one popped tire, one sinus infection (no health insurance needed), and one nutty Italian senior who poured sugar water on our rental car for parking near his fence. 🤣

A special shout out to my amazing in laws @daveenoninsta and Gary Dean who flew out to LA to hang with Ronin so we could have this experience.

Feel free to DM me for any questions about this beautiful island if you decide to visit Italy in the future. Happy to share any tips. Tip #1: rent a SMALL car or learn to ride a scooter! taken in Ischia, Italy by @richcerauloko
