"The internet is the court, and the unknowing victims with disabilities are the jesters."

"Confessions of a Recovering Court Jester" is an article by Richelle Kota, in Vol 04. It traces the court jester from the historical role, chosen at random for size or voice or vibe, to the friend kept around as entertainment, to the harassment economies now running on the same logic.

Richelle is a queer Liberian refugee, researcher, writer, interdisciplinary visual artist and arts educator in Philadelphia, whose work expands around themes of culture, identity and politics through the personal.

My people came to visit the exhibition I worked so hard on. It was so fun giving them a tour, detailing the incredibly interesting research on my section, “Early Black Voices in Pharmacy” in our latest exhibition, “Between Two Rivers: 250 Years of Pharmacy in Philadelphia” on view now at @sju_pharmacymuseum.

“Early Black Voices in Pharmacy,” introduces visitors to practitioners like Henry M. Minton (Ph.G., 1895)—the first Black man to own a pharmacy in Philadelphia.

Thank you to my loved ones for coming out to visit me today🤍 Please come out to visit if you can!

The opening for Collagemaxxing was amazing! Thanks to my friends @recoveryspirit, @templedouglass.art, and Em (offline) for coming to support!
