Young version of me would still go knowing Brazil would lose. To experience this, was an opportunity of a lifetime. I’m not the best Portuguese speaker, but the heritage and culture that has been in my blood and in the family and communities that have raised me has put such a significance on the Brazilian National Team and the World Cup. It’s inspired me to love and play the game while also feeling deep feelings of passion for what this represents. The whole world stops to watch just one sport every four years. So grateful to have shared such an experience with friends all throughout the stadium. Thank you Brazil. Until the next one 🇧🇷❤️🫡

Dream achieved, dream crushed, within hours. From the highest highs to the lowest lows, I was at the source of every emotion felt around the world. Grateful and content to have witnessed Brazil play in the World Cup at home with dear friends. Honored to see @neymarjr score his last international and World Cup goal with my own eyes. I will be telling this story to my children’s children. A próxima Brasil 🇧🇷💔🤙🏽.

One of the best sessions with the boys out in @surfcosta . Paddled out with some semi-choppy conditions and the wind totally switched offshore. Perfect waves with nobody but the crew. Thanks to @laescapaditacentro for catching some shots at the end of our session!

Still dreaming about this session with the boys in Costa Rica. The rights were so good they had me working on my backside in the first three slides. Slide four I’m watching @lukeditella show me how it’s done, and slide five, the man of the hour defies gravity @salty_alt . Absolutely honored and grateful to be part of this epic crew celebrating @salty_alt and @ashleydilger . Became part of a family with so much history and pura vida. From catching the best fish of my life, to having the best surf session with boys I’ve ever been part of, to planting trees in @salty_alt @ashleydilger and @cmccoyphotography that will grow and bring fruit for years to come, and all of the incredible hangs and food we got to eat, this trip will always be unforgettable. It’s also confirmed even more how special Costa Rica has been to me. Next time, I’m planting some of my own roots 🤙🏽
