Franklin passed away peacefully on Monday. He was 15 years old. He was the absolute joy of our lives from the moment we picked him up and he will be deeply missed. He was an athlete and loved to play ball, run, and root around in the grass. He loved the outdoors and long car rides down back roads. He was the muse to many a made up song and he loved when we sang to him. He travelled extensively along the US eastern seaboard from Key West, Florida to Boston, Massachusetts and so many places in between. Where we went, he went. He never sparked much connection with other animals, instead he connected with people. He had so many aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends, all human, who loved him so much. I built a garden for him on the farm and we laid him to rest there yesterday, where the butterflies visit in the morning and the crickets chirp at night. We remember our sweet boy now, with the heaviest but also grateful hearts.Franklin 2010-2026 by @richiescapes
