Almost 6 months ago, Richie stepped wayyyy outside of his comfort zone and attended a Brazilian Jiujitsu class at @cqbjjfit_. He was timid, nervous, and borderline scared to go, but he did it anyway and it's turned into one of the best decisions we've made! The amount of discipline and skill he has learned in such a short time is incredible, the level of confidence in himself and his abilities has skyrocketed and he turned a fear into a strength! Last night, he receiced his first stripes during a belt promotion ceremony and he was truly beaming with pride (while dad had tears in his eyes).
I cannot say enough great things about his coaches/instructors and his teammates, who continue to challenge him both on and off the mat. Coaches @ric_hernandez_77, @linalool._, and @burkeadamjohn, thank you for believing in Richie the way you do and for pushing him beyond his limits, you guys are second to none! And to the group of kids Richie has trained with, you and your parents should be proud, you guys are creating something special and we are glad to be a part of it!

One year ago today, I made the hardest decision of my life and helped my baby girl cross over the rainbow bridge..One whole year of missing her, of crying, of regret, of what ifs. No new memories, no new photos, no new moments..Even when I tell myself I made the right decision, and I know that I did, it doesn't make the pain hurt any less. For almost 15 years, Chloe was a constant in my life and the hole she left is something I can never fill. She took a huge piece of my heart that day. We all miss you so much..Richie and Vinny still talk about you, Willie still looks for you and your memory still lives strong in every room of our house. I hope Sweet Disposition plays on repeat in heaven for you, with all the bananas, peanut butter, carrots, string beans and lipton soup a dog can eat. I love you Chloe! ❤️🌈💔 I will see you again......

Happy 6th Birthday to this incredible little human! What a year it was; from graduating Pre-K and starting Kindergarten, moving from T-Ball to Coach Pitch Baseball (and getting a few game balls!), multiple trips to some of our old favorite places to the new ones we experienced and to old friends and new ones, this year has been a rollercoaster and you handled it all like a champ! We are beyond proud of the person you are, your silly and fun nature, the kindness and love you show, your eagerness to learn and grow and just how special a kid you are! We love you so much Richie and hope you have the absolute best birthday!! ❤️ by @richiewitt

Over the last almost 3 years, I've had the luxury and pleasure of being "Daddy Daycare" on my days off from work. I consider myself extremely lucky to have had all those extra days home together over the years, while others may not have had that same opportunity. My little helpers, from shopping to laundry, random breakfast and lunch trips, bike rides and baseball and inflatable water slides, and everything inbetween, my boys, I have LOVED our "days off" together! So today, as you begin your journey in your new school, please know that I will always cherish these days, I am so extremely thankful and I am beyond proud of you both! Happy Heavenly Birthday Chloe! Today (or yesterday, we still aren't sure lol), you would have been 15..We would have given you all the snacks and treats, along with your random favorites like lipton soup and string beans. Losing you is the hardest thing I've ever gone through and 5 months later, it hasn't gotten any easier. I look at pictures of you everyday, yet all it reminds me is that you aren't here for new ones...The boys still talk about you, they want to sing Happy Birthday to you later tonight..You were their protector, their shadow, their little best friend..We all miss you so damn much and I'd give literally anything to have saved you. So as I write this and share old photos, through all the tears, I hope you're up there celebrating and remembering all of your previous birthdays down here. We will still celebrate you every year, until we meet again my angel baby! I miss you and I love you..and I will love you forever! by @richiewitt
