5 reasons I chose cybersecurity 👇🏾

1. I like knowledge work. Not work that’s tied to how much time I spend.

2. Working remotely is a life hack. I can create the environment that fits my needs and enables me to get my work done, and still be around to support my family and fill my own cup.

3. Cybersecurity rides the tails of all technology. AI hits the scene, so does AI Security so there’s always room to learn and evolve.

4. There are so many different domains and flavors of cybersecurity. IAM, GRC, engineering. It’s a very wide field, and each domain can be very deep.

5. You meet really interesting people. This one guy has a biotechnology lab, where he implants technology in his body, to the point where he can swipe his hand past your access card and copy it, and because it’s a part of his body, there’s regulatory hurdles like HIPAA that make it difficult to investigate cybercrime - very interesting.

Have you heard of Flipper Zero?

Flipper Zero is a portable, open-source device designed for hardware hacking, pentesting, and digital exploration. It resembles a compact multi-tool for cybersecurity enthusiasts, with capabilities that include reading, emulating, and transmitting various types of digital signals. Here are some of its key features:

RFID and NFC: Reads and emulates various RFID cards and NFC devices, enabling it to interact with access cards, contactless payments, and other short-range wireless devices.

Infrared Transmitter: Functions as a universal remote by sending infrared signals to control TVs, air conditioners, and other IR-based devices.

Sub-GHz Transceiver: Operates on sub-GHz frequencies, allowing it to read and emulate signals from devices like garage doors, car key fobs, and remote sensors.
