11 years later… I look back and realize I had no idea how much football would shape me or how much I would pour into the city of Richmond, VA. I started this journey not knowing a single thing about football, just a woman willing to learn, grind, and show up. And somehow, that path led me to owning an entire flag football team and helping build a community that became bigger than the sport itself.

Richmond raised me as an athlete, a leader, and a woman. Every teammate, every practice, every win, every loss… it all molded me into who I am today. I’m forever grateful for the people who believed in me, challenged me, and grew with me.

Life is shifting, and it’s time for me to step into a new chapter outside of Virginia. But leaving doesn’t erase the legacy. It doesn’t erase the impact. It doesn’t erase the love I have for this city or the mark I’ve made on the football world here.

Richmond will always be home to my football story. And no matter where life takes me next, I’ll carry these 11 years with pride, gratitude, and a whole lot of heart. #Mactruck35 #804mafia #richmondblackwidows #womenstacklefootball #womensflagfootball taken in Richmond, VA by @richmondblackwidows

Thank you to the @richmondivysc , @rivercityrollerderby and @richmondblackwidows for sharing your stories and opening up about what it means to be women in sports.

This season, we introduced Nutasha’s first-ever on-field uniform, a milestone that gives us a unique opportunity to celebrate and amplify the voices of women and girls in sports. Through these conversations, we hope to highlight the challenges, triumphs and impact of women who continue to shape the game both on and off the field.

Join us tomorrow at CarMax Park for Women & Girls in Sports Night as we continue the conversation, celebrate these incredible athletes, and inspire the next generation. We can’t wait to see you there!

On May 9th, at our home opener, I was honored with my flower. A moment that hit me harder than I expected 🥹. Thank you to the @richmondblackwidows , from the OGs to the newbies, for recognizing my years, my work, and my heart on that field.

As life shifts and I will be officially retiring from the Widows to start my next chapter, I’m reflecting on everything this team has given me. From a self‑proclaimed top LB in D3, to an All‑American, to one of the longest running Widows to ever suit up. None of that happens without this sisterhood🫶🏾.

Thank you to every coach, every staff member, every volunteer, and every sister who lined up beside me. If it wasn’t for y’all, I wouldn’t have found lifelong friends who became family, a new confidence in myself, a coach who pushed me, or the courage to start a WHOLE flag football team @804mafia_wflag , AND A CHAMP 💍!

Richmond Black Widows, thank you for shaping me, challenging me, and growing me. I will carry all of it into my next chapter. #THANKYOU #womenstacklefootball #wfa #retirement #MacTruck35 by @richmondblackwidows
