3/3 • By the end, I think what stuck most was how much bigger this was than just a skate tour.

people using something they love to create an opportunity to reach people they might never have reached otherwise.

And honestly, I think that’s what made the whole thing work.

Nobody had to stop being a skater.

Nobody had to stop being themselves.

just created space where skateboarding, community and faith could exist in the same place.

to experience that from behind the camera and catch the moment, I’m grateful.

Much respect to everyone who put this tour together, everyone who showed up, and everyone who opened themselves up to the conversation. @skateac @nick_merlino @davejonsson @ericxdean @saintsandsippers @klotztradamus @antwuandixon @456unlimited by @richwayz

2/3 • what made this even crazier was seeing the level of people who came together to make it happen..

Pro skaters who have spent years building their names in this culture getting on the road together, showing up at parks, skating with people, talking with people and creating an environment where the conversation could actually happen naturally.

No matter where you come from or what you believe, there’s something pretty significant about that..

Because you can’t force yourself into a community like skateboarding and expect people to listen.

You have to show up..

You have to be part of it.

And watching the community respond to these guys .. especially seeing how many people were genuinely open and engaged.. was probably my biggest takeaway from the whole experience.

Then there was the skating.

1/3 • I got the opportunity to witness something I honestly didn’t know what to expect from. #kingdomtakeover tour

A group of pro skateboarders getting together and taking a tour on the road with a mission to bring the Word of God into skateboarding and action sports.

That alone is pretty powerful when you think about the history of skate culture.. a culture built around independence, rebellion, doing your own thing and.. in a lot of ways, an outright outlaw mentality. 🤘🏽🏴‍☠️

But what really stood out to me wasn’t just what they were trying to do.

It was how receptive people actually were.

I spent the time photographing it and watching it happen in real time, and there was something pretty special about seeing not only adults, but kids from completely different walks of life come together around skateboarding, community and faith.

And only the beginning.. by @richwayz
