Meet Rick 👆🏽He’s someone who’s name you’ll want to remember…

Rick leads by doing, and he’s been doing it longer than most people realize. He grew up helping maintain his parents’ rental properties but things really started to shift for him when he started comparing his 401K growth vs his real estate portfolio growth.

That upbringing and first hand experience in investing gave him something no license or credential can replicate: he knows how buildings work, what breaks, what it costs to fix it, and when a number doesn’t add up.

But that’s not all…

He’s also a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. An MBA with an emphasis on organizational leadership. And 11 years running cost analyses for the U.S. Navy.

If you know what that actually involves, it means Rick spent over a decade learning how to price things precisely, spot what’s inflated, and build a full negotiation roadmap before most agents have even pulled comps.

Walk through a house with Rick and you’re getting a different kind of walkthrough. He can tell you what needs a licensed contractor and what you could realistically handle yourself and if it’s the latter, he’ll tell you how.

I turned 39 this year and wanted to have a clear and intentional last year before the big 4-0.

-Educate first time homebuyers/young families, help them strategize the best ways to get into homeownership and take them to the next level through Real Estate 🏠

-Help other agents with their clients. Collaboration > Competition 🤝

-Lower my cholesterol . All the years of Filipino food and carne asada burritos are catching up to me 🩺

-Be present for my family and take family trips 👨‍👩‍👦

Hey there! Let me give a quick intro to all my new followers I haven't had the chance to meet yet.

I'm a proud holder of a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration. I've been a property manager for more than 10 years, which basically makes me the go-to guy for fixing leaky faucets and replacing busted water heaters.

I've also spent over a decade crunching numbers as a Cost Analysis whiz. And since 2016, I've added "Realtor" to my resume, which essentially means I'm a professional matchmaker for homes and eager buyers.

My real passion is helping ambitious young families build generational wealth through real estate. San Diego is undeniably America's finest city, and I'd be thrilled to help you find your slice of the pie.

If buying an Airbnb in California feels impossible… maybe California isn’t the answer.

I sat down with @rick_therealtor , who has become my go-to for out-of-area Airbnb investing outside of Cali, and we got into the stuff I actually wanted to know:

How does he choose a market?
What does a property need to gross before he’ll touch it?
What does “profitable” actually mean after the mortgage and expenses?
And how do you get comfortable buying somewhere you don’t live?

His numbers were way simpler than I expected... and his strategy around national parks immediately got my wheels spinning. 👀

JUST CLOSED 🎉🌊

We officially closed on two side by side duplexes in Imperial Beach, just two blocks from the ocean!

Each property sits on a 5,000 SF lot, and our plan is to add two new 2 bed, 1 bath ADUs to each lot, taking us from 4 existing units to 8 total units across both properties.

Our strategy is to develop both properties, sell one, and keep the other as a long term hold.

I’m excited to add another project to our Imperial Beach portfolio and continue developing in a market we believe has a lot of long term potential.

There’s a season in life when your parents are still strong and your babies are small. Blink and you’ll miss it!

Last month we celebrated my parent’s 52nd wedding anniversary and my dad’s 80th birthday. 🎊

It’s been 8 years since all my siblings and parents have been together so definitely grateful for the time off to soak it all in!

Congrats to the 15 families who closed on their homes this past month! They now get to build memories, have a place to call home, and potentially double their investment in 10-15 years as it has done historically.

Did you know real estate equity can easily out pace a 401k. The average retiree at 65 has around $400K saved in their 401k. SD single family homeowners that bought 15 years ago likely already have more than that average.

I let strangers into other people’s houses while the owners are away, we hang out for a bit, I run up their utilities, flush every toilet in the place, and sometimes post up on the roof to soak in the SoCal sun ☀️ Pay me enough and I’ll even walk you through how to get your name on the deed 😉 by @rick_therealtor
