I'm honored and thrilled to have had him drop in on the pod for an incredible conversation and words of inspiration and wisdom! Thank you all for listening, spreading the vibes and subscribing. by @rickgdumont

Director Statement
This film was created out of an amalgam of horror stories I experienced during my 30 years as a 911 dispatcher and 15 years as a journalist. I wanted to create a film that would inspire, empower people who are suffering, feeling trapped and alone, that they too can find freedom, safety and the life they deserve.

Rick Dumont first started writing and directing films in 2006 with a feature. After two more festival award winning features, the muse led him down the path of short films. American Dream was inspired by his work coordinating food pantries in NH, and a nonprofit that travelled New England feeding, clothing and providing showers as well as his conversations and sights of the unhoused throughout NYC, Boston as well as small town streets of NH.
