Obrigado, Brasil. 🇧🇷

What a way to say goodbye. 90 seconds will never do it justice, but here’s to our friends, the dancefloor, and every “Vai Brasil!!!” that made these months unforgettable. We leave with pain in our hearts saying bye to the friends and family who made this place feel like a second home — but we leave with our hearts filled with love.

These last 5 months in Brasil were everything. Now our next era takes us back to Amsterdam, our other home, where friends and family have been waiting for us too. We can’t wait to see what this era brings.

And don’t worry, Brasil — we’ll be back. ❤️

WEEK 2 (oops… technically a little more than two weeks 🫣)

Turns out balancing a full-time job, making music and documenting a 60-day challenge is a challenge in itself 😂 So we’re running a little behind schedule, but we’re still going.

One thing I’ve been thinking about a lot lately is how weird it is being an independent artist today.

Having a presence on social media matters. It helps people discover you, see what you’re about and, yes, it’s one of the things bookers will look at. But building that presence can also become a full-time job on its own.

And somewhere between my job in finance, DJing, producing, filming, editing and trying to become my own social media manager I still need to actually make music. Which is not easy task everyday.

Fellow DJs & producers, how do you balance making music with everything else that comes with being an artist today? 🤔

For now, I needed something that could do a better job of showing who I am as an artist when I reach out to venues, without relying entirely on my Instagram. That’s why I finally built my EPK.

And since I had to build one anyway, I turned it into a customizable template you can use for yours too. Comment “EPK” and I’ll send you the template.

Stay tuned for next week’s mission 👉 creating new tracks 🎧🎵 Let’s see what comes out of it 👀

I’m officially giving myself 60 days to land my next DJ gig in Amsterdam 🗓️

And I’m documenting everything (including the things that don’t work 🫣)

I’ll also be sharing some of the actual tools I build and use along the way (my EPK, how I keep track of venues and contacts, how I approach bookers) basically, the stuff I’m figuring out as I go.

But since this is day one, I’m curious 👀⬇️
If you were starting from where I am right now, what would you do first?

And if you know a venue, promoter, collective or artist in Amsterdam you think I should connect with, drop their name below 👇

One thing I’m taking away from all of this is that when you move into a new music scene, don’t only think about what you have to rebuild. Look at what you can bring with you.

I might be starting again in Amsterdam when it comes to connections and gigs, but I’m not starting from zero. I’m bringing five months of playing, experimenting, meeting people and understanding a completely different crowd with me.

Now it’s time to see what I can build with that.

I’ve decided to document the whole process of finding my place in the Dutch scene and working towards my next gig.

The challenge starts in the next episode 👀 make sure to tag along

The uncomfortable truth about making it as an artist 🎧 Talent gets you so far — this is what actually moves the needle. What’s one thing you’ve been hiding from the world?
