Last night, @vance_honeycutt became @carolinabaseball’s all time Home Run King. I caught up with the reigning #ACC Defensive Player of the Year before beginning their final home series of the regular season to see what the record would mean to him amongst other topics. #College #Baseball #NCAA #Diamond #Heels ⚾️⚾️⚾️ taken in Boshamer Stadium by @ricksreview

Me: I don’t know why God did what He did with this blessing. But HE DID THAT!

@jadamivy1971: You are Deserving of it. It's Simple. God knows your True Heart J B.

To say I’m living the dream is an understatement. There’s no other explanation reaching this point of my career where @jerryrice’s team reached out to me to do this interview with the 🐐. This was a #NorthCarolina #Exclusive & God chose me to conduct this interview. I am truly blessed & highly favored & I will FOREVER be grateful for this opportunity. I dream big but God keeps telling me to dream bigger. I hear you loud & clear God Almighty. I hear you.

P.S. I’m sorry for calling your team’s WRs out @jadamivy1971 but Jerry is open!! Tell @aaronrodgers12 to give him a call. 😂😂😂

Probably the most historic trophy in all of sports was in our studio today & the line of colleagues wanting a snap with Lord Stanley had me feeling like we were at @cedarpoint!! The Stanley Cup & it’s “Cup Keeper” will join me on #SportsNight at 10:30 tonight! Don’t miss it on @spectrumnews1nc!

Easily the most insane day of College Football this decade, probably of this entire century!! I’ve never seen 5 of the top 7 ranked teams go down in the same day. Excluding Tennessee’s win, every one of those games came down to the wire. I was in awe from beginning to end!!

Amari Smith — 6”0 Combo Guard — Class of 2029 — Mac Elite 15U/Mount Vernon High School (IN)

Amari Smith is an athletic guard with great quickness and scoring ability. He had to pick and choose his spots to get going on offense but once he got in rhythm, he could score in waves. His mid-range game is efficient but he does most of his damage when he attacks the rim. He’s got range from beyond the 3 point arc as well. No question what stood out to me for Amari was his work on the defensive end. He’s got very quick feet and he has the “defense wins championships” mentality which really drives his energy on that end of the court. He loves putting on the pressure on defense to create transition opportunities.

I normally hate to say that I told you so but NOT THIS TIME!!!! I toooooooooold everybody once they moved away from the 4 team playoff, it was going to be a wrap for meaningful regular season games in college football.

I caught sooooooooo much vitriol from the masses telling me that I need to get with the times and to stop being the “get off my lawn” guy. I understand that we’re in a new era of college sports but to have a 24-team playoff means that there will be 3/4 loss teams who will have a chance to win a national championship.

For those of you who are with this new way of life for CFB, more power to you. But I’m standing 10 toes down on the fact that playoff expansion is going to be the death of impactful Saturdays in September & October.

This is a true travesty for where this sport has ended up during these times. I’m not going to gaslight and act like I’m really going to say goodbye forever to a sport I’ve been watching religiously since I was 3 years old but this new generation of college football is absolute trash & I don’t give a damn who disagrees with me now, then and forever! Now get off my lawn!

Some clips from our final fall broadcast featuring arguably the best water polo squad in the state from @phsmenspolo who handled rival @huronwaterpolo 17-7 on Senior Night.

The Pioneers improved to 31-3 on the season and will now head into the State Playoffs with a first round bye. Senior Isak Woods took home our final Key Player of the Game for the fall schedule.

We’ll see you in a few weeks for the start of the winter schedule! 🏀🏀🏀

Jesse Craig — 6”2 Shooting Guard — Class of 2028 — Refined Indiana 16U/University High School (IN)

Another one of those dynamic guards for Refined Indiana was Jesse Craig who is a shooting guard with combo guard skills. His shooting range is undeniable but his motor stands out even more. He displayed a great knack for play-making and getting teammates open. He moved well off the ball to get to his spots and knock down open triples. He’s a natural born leader looking to use his basketball IQ and motor to elevate the play of his teammates. He has solid ball handling skills as well which is why I figured him to be a combo guard but whatever helps him play at the high level he displayed in Indy probably works for any coach leading this standout guard.

Dawson Farmer — 6”4 Point Guard — Class of 2028 — KBC East 16U/Lexington Christian High School (KY)

Another dynamic scoring point guard who has great versatility at both positions. Even though Dawson Farmer considers himself a true 1, his shooting range resembles that of a pure shooting guard. He knows that if he’s having an off shooting night, his pass-first mentality takes over and he hones in on getting his teammates to pick up the slack when he’s struggling. At 6”4, he presents a match up problem at the point position because you’re not going to find many guards on this level that will be able to match up with his height.

Jamar Keys — 6”8 Small Forward — Class of 2027 — Beating The Odds Basketball 17U/Canton McKinley High School (OH)

There is nothing “small” about this senior out of Ohio. Jamar Keys has a mammoth body at his disposal to play from the pure 3 position but he makes it work. Jamar is very skilled with the ball in his hands whether he’s taking his defender off of the dribble or showing off the footwork to get to the cup. He loves to score and he has many options to do so no matter what defender is on him. Because of his size, he presents a challenge on defense as well clogging up the paint with his wingspan and rebounding skills. When he does get a defensive rebound, he can keep the ball for himself and lead his team in transition because of his ball handling ability.
