* First, I want to say excuse this Buddha moment I’m having 🤣🕉️* I’ve been working on this painting for 3 YEARS. It’s based off Jan Matejko’s painting that depicts a royal jester sitting alone in deep sorrow while a party continues in the background. I wanted to post this for April Fools’ Day, but ironically, that was the joke, and the universe said “you’re not a fool” 😅. This took so long to finish, and it is a form of shadow work for myself. * The painting is based literally inside the Tree of Life. I put symbols representing the tree on the border with patterns of the Flower of Life that represents a protection seal as I travel through life. * On the top corners of the painting, I’ve made my own version of the Om symbol that stands for the universe, ultimate reality, and the divine. 🕉️ * The scale represents the Egyptian feather scale. As long as my heart and mind are well balanced, I’ll get to the heaven I’m looking for. * The blood running down from the heart stands for the blood, sweat, and tears🩸*The tail and eyes under the floor board wrapped around my leg stand for evil letting go. * The blue bird dropping the eyeball in the cup represents the saying “a little birdie told me… etc.” * The cup splashing on me represents the truth, and the eyeball in the cup represents me seeing the truth.* The tall grass represents me walking through my own struggles. The guy sitting is me just taking a breather and looking at my heaven that’s ahead waiting for me. 🍸🍷 by @rickth3rula
