Everything is coming to an end !

The end of an era… 💔⚽It’s hard to put into words what football has meant to us — to me — since the first time I watched the 1998 World Cup. That was when I fell in love with the game. Ronaldo Nazário wasn’t just a player, he was poetry in motion. His intelligence, his vision, his understanding of football — second to none. He made me see football differently.Then came the golden years — Ronaldinho’s smile, Zidane’s grace, Figo’s elegance, Beckham’s precision, Rivaldo’s flair, Cafu’s energy, Raul’s consistency, Ballack’s/Roberto Carlos's power. Legends who made the game beautiful.
And then, the next generation took over — Cristiano, Messi, Neymar — the trio that conquered the footballing world like no one before. Their rivalry wasn’t just competition, it was art, emotion, and passion. Every match felt like history unfolding.

We lived through magic — the goals, the assists, the heartbreaks, the trophies, the tears. We watched them grow, dominate, and inspire millions.
But now, as they slowly step away from the stage, it feels like the curtain is closing on something irreplaceable. Neymar leaving without a major silverware hurts deeply — especially for those of us who followed Brazil with every heartbeat. Cristiano and Messi, the eternal icons, have given us everything. Yet, seeing them fade from the pitch feels unreal

Football will go on — Mbappé, Haaland, Vinícius will shine — but the soul of the game we knew is changing. The magic of Özil, Modrić, Iniesta, Pirlo, Kaka, Zidane… that era was different. It was pure, emotional, human.We’re not just saying goodbye to players.
We’re saying goodbye to memories, to moments, to a generation that defined football itself.Thank you for the unforgettable years.
Thank you for making us fall in love with the game.

Sometimes I wonder I got my own sibling pretty late but why didn't I feel it in my childhood. And then I realize the reason was you.. You have spread and filled all the gaps of affection and care. It was fun growing with you. Waiting for you from the start of all vacations, playing with you in the courtyard, back yard and where not; making our own story lines, living in our own imaginative worlds carelessly and then facing miserable good byes after vacations, to get into own worlds, we have traveled a lot and grown up together.

Adulthood definitely had effects on both of us, but the bond grew stronger. Then there came that part of life where I was struggling to process what was happening around me. I was naive and never wanted to be tied down for any household affairs then. There came you, filling my absence and covering my back , letting me do what I want. You took the pressure off me and allowed me to be busy with myself. I never realized how big that kindness was, unless and until I started introspecting my time in Tuljapur.

That was a difficult phase of your life where you fought bravely against everything that came up. Even though I wanted, I couldn't be with you then. There was only one place I was confident enough to entrust you with - Tuljapur. It took me a little force, but now we both know it was worth it.

You had that spark in you always, which was awaiting the right conditions to synergize. Then I watched you growing freely, uninterrupted to that UNICEF Young Professional, who has widened horizons, rediscovered the zeal and redefined limits. That was all I ever wanted to see and enjoy with you! In fact, the greatest gift I can ever share with you is that family in Tuljapur, who love and celebrate you, and have given you an authentic campus life that you wanted but you thought you're never going to have!

I received call from PRS saying that my MP introduction will be happening that day. "Ricky, you will be working with Mr. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury." I wanted to make sure that I heard it right. "Adhir.. Ranjan.. Chowdhury", she repeated.I got the biggest name of the lot - hon'ble Opposition Leader of the House!! I was timid when the zoom call connected. But, a very pleasant smile and warm words of welcome absorped - "Hey young man! I'm so happy to meet you. Where are you from?". Within a minute, I knew I was home.(the last image)

5th October 2020

I got an unexpected call. On the other side, I heard that same voice that made me feel home. From a hefty schedule, he prioritized thanking me for my support during Monsoon session with a reminder closed to meet him soon in Delhi.

24th July 2021

I was accompanying him in a study visit. Sir was leading a team of MPs and chairing discussions throughout the day with Ministry officials and bureaucrats. Along with directing everything, he made sure my learning experience was solid .

9th August 2021

I celebrated my 26th bday with his family wearing a shirt gifted by him.

I had boarded my train from New Delhi after formally ending my association with the office of Leader of Opposition and it's been 2 hours. I received a call from our beloved Madame telling me that sir is very upset that I'm traveling hungry and may not take food at right time throughout my journey.

On this Teacher's Day, I am thanking my mentor, teacher and guardian since last one year Shri. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Hon'ble Leader of Opposition, Lok Sabha.
Observing hon'ble sir was in itself a plethora of learning. The journey pushed me to be rounded professional and influenced my aspirations. It's been a privilege to be associated with an organic politician, an exemplary accomodative leader who is a walking example of hardwork, ethics and determination, a titan of Indian Political Arena and over everything, gem of an individual who inspires, cares, enlightens and supports every lives around him...

Grateful for reminding me everytime that I'm part of your family..

2021 is witnessing us coming ever closer and acknowledging our journeys. Holding both closely, has become my go-to solution for problems these days. Reflecting on immediate life before and after pandemic, grounded my understanding of our distinct journeys; what that builded all 3 of us.

We are still traveling through our own distinct paths. We are reigning our own physical, mental, emotional and imaginative worlds. We still carry trade offs of our own distinct journeys. But that sense of being home, where we could even accommodate most vulnerable version of ourselves, that flavour has been stronger than ever.

My greatest realization this year?

It's totally okay to be under the same roof and share distinct journeys. There may be someone out there, who carry this chaotic question/dilemma/crisis inside. (Atleast I was there for a while). What matters is that we confront, initiate a conversation and/or work towards bettering the condition.

At the right instance, some of us, or may be all of our dear ones, will pull our worlds towards each other. Acknowledge the journey, acknowledge the scars. Embrace what's immediately left and right to you.

I was stuck and struggling for a caption to post these pics for past two weeks. First, I thought of "Red they said... Well said!!".. Then I realized that no one said anything and I had to give up on that idea.

Then I thought about "non-mandatory pic from a non-existing Diwali celebration". Then I spent an entire week thinking about how cool it would have been if I get to celebrate Diwali. But by the time Diwali passed and I had to give up on that too..

Then I thought about posting something funny about what @precious__hearten__ said while capturing this pic, like " you should never ever, for god's sake, try posing for a picture like this! 🤒This is not your cup of tea" .. Then I spent an entire week on making it funny, only to realize that it wasn't a joke at all.. 🤧😳

Oh cmon. Why can't we just do it when we want to? Why do we hesitate so much? Why the hell do we hold ourselves so much and end up missing the actual beauty and happiness of that moment we deserve!? by @ricky.saji

Hey..wishes to this very special person on this very special day! Looks like you're once again getting ready to take off to your most fav things - to observe, to embrace and to reflect!

Soon you'll be super busy with so much works and lots of stuff.. I hope you're getting ready for it.. to enjoy all those things once again. You may crack once you are thrown back to those stuff all of sudden. Then I want you to remember this period of life and realise that you've done extremely well to come all over this way and smile.. This piece of life was a gift to realize how strongly built you're.

Dream is the most beautiful thing if it's not spoilt... walk right that way.. Get your coat on! Pack your stockings... Get yourself a mask and don't forget your gloves.. When you're tired , give yourself little rest.. sit by shade. Scribble a poem down.. Give yourself a good break.. Watch Friends S9 E5..

And if at all, those stuff doesn't work, dive your hands down the pocket of your coat.. you'll find the bunch of chocolates I've always saved for you.
