Before fight night comes face-to-face.

On Wednesday 28th October, our IBE fighters take over The Domino Club, Leeds as we officially reveal the match-ups for our 9th Birthday Show.
This isn’t your usual boxing press conference.
It’s open. Raw. Honest. A chance to hear directly from the fighters about the last few weeks of training, who they’ve been matched with, the charities they’re fighting for and, most importantly, their why.
Expect nerves. Expect laughs. Expect a little bit of back and forth. 👀🥊

And the amazing team at The Domino Club will be behind the bar throughout, serving up some seriously good drinks & Hospitality. 🍸

Last night we officially kicked off camp 🔥

What a mammoth effort from our latest bunch of hospitality heroes. Straight in, grafting, learning and getting a first taste of what the next few weeks are going to look like.

This is only session ONE. 👀

Over the coming weeks we’ll watch this lot learn to box, push themselves way outside their comfort zones and ultimately step through those ropes to fight for causes and charities close to their hearts. ❤️

IBE turns 9… and we’re going BIG. 🎂🥊

🥊 IBE 9TH BIRTHDAY CAMP — WEEK 4

Week 4 is underway, and last night we introduced something new to our hospitality heroes… CONTROLLED CONTACT. 🥊

After three weeks of building the foundations, learning the punches and putting combinations together, it was time to start putting those skills into practice.

This week’s focus? DEFENCE, MOVEMENT & CONFIDENCE. 👊

🥊 Keeping those hands up and protecting ourselves.
🥊 Learning to stay calm when punches are coming our way.
🥊 Moving our feet, creating angles and finding space.
🥊 Building the confidence to defend, react and respond.

Because boxing isn’t just about how hard you can throw a punch. It’s about staying composed, thinking clearly and knowing what to do when one comes back at you.

And WOW… WHAT A MAMMOTH EFFORT! 👏🔥

For many of this group, controlled contact is a completely new experience. It takes courage to step outside your comfort zone, trust the process and give something unfamiliar a go.

Still loads to learn, but the confidence is growing and this group continues to impress us every single week. ❤️

🥊 IBE 9TH BIRTHDAY CAMP | WEEK 3

Three weeks in… and things are starting to come together. 👀🔥

This week we went back over the foundations from Week 2, THE JAB, movement, range and getting those hands straight back home.
Then we started building. 🧱🥊
Jab into combinations.
Moving after we throw.
Defending and coming straight back.
Seeing the shot, reacting and becoming more confident with counter punching.
Less thinking about every individual movement and starting to let those hands FLOW.

And the effort? OUTSTANDING. 👏

The intensity went up another level this week and this group just kept giving us more.

More confidence.
More combinations.
More movement.
More understanding.

There’s still a long way to go, but that's the whole point of camp.

We build it week by week.

From people who walked through the doors just three weeks ago with completely different levels of experience, we're already starting to see fighters emerge. 🥊
And we’re only getting started…

🥊 3 reasons to start hitting pads!

💥 Cheaper than therapy – Sometimes you just need 45 minutes to switch off, let off some steam and forget about life’s bullshit.

🥊 Punching a wall is silly – Broken knuckles, expensive plastering bills. Just come hit some pads instead.

🔥 Being a miserable bastard doesn’t burn calories – But throwing punches, getting sweaty and having a laugh certainly does!

No experience needed. No pressure. Just good people, good graft and a proper sweat on.

🥊 IBE 9TH BIRTHDAY CAMP — WEEK 2

Last night we started putting some real foundations in place.

This week’s focus: THE JAB + MOVEMENT. 👊

Finding range.
Hands straight back to guard.
Moving after we punch.
Staying balanced.
Keeping our eyes up.

And starting to understand that boxing isn’t just about throwing shots, it’s about what you do before and after them.

We worked the jab on the pads, built movement into the rounds and, of course, threw in plenty to get those heart rates flying. 🥵

And the effort was MAMMOTH.

For only Week 2, you can already see people starting to relax, listen, learn and put things together.
Still loads to work on. That’s exactly how it should be.
We’re not trying to create boxers overnight, we’re building them week by week, round by round. 🥊
And this group of hospitality heroes are properly buying into it. ❤️

10 weeks to learn. One night to put it all into practice.

⚽️🥊 FOOTBALL x BOXING

Wednesday night. In the park. Gloves on. Pads out. 👊

Brilliant session with the young ballers from Rothwell Juniors, mixing boxing, padwork and combat fitness to challenge their engine, reactions, coordination and mindset… all things that transfer straight onto the pitch.

Massive effort from every single one of the kids, and fair play to the parents who jumped in and got stuck into it too! 😂🥊

Big thanks to coach @chrissheppard922 for getting me down and being open to doing something a little different with the team.

Different sport. Different training. Same goal.
