Sayang kalian. 🖤🗡️

As a bartender, I’m always fascinated by how a familiar flavor can tell a story.

For this cocktail, I wanted to tell a story that feels close to home.

I grew up around Sundanese flavors — and karedok is one of those dishes where every ingredient has its own character. The nuttiness of peanuts, the warmth of kencur, the freshness of kemangi, the savory depth of garlic, and the distinctive bitterness of leunca.

Instead of trying to hide those flavors, I wanted to understand them.

I broke them down, turned them into an gome, and rebuilt them into a Gimlet using East Indies Archipelago.

The result is not meant to be a cocktail that simply “tastes like karedok.”

It’s my interpretation of it.

A piece of where I come from, translated through the way I see cocktails today.

Tradition in the ingredients.
Technique in the process.
My story in the glass.

Karedok Leunca Gimlet.

The future in every pour.
