🚨Watch til the end🚨

Yes, Vienna Dub Massive!

Today we got a little more serious things to talk about than usual. Sadly, this is not the announcement for our next Dub Gate event but rather an explanation of what is currently happening and why, as for now, we have decided to put DUB GATE on halt.

As many of you might have heard or experienced for themselves over the last couple of events we have had increasing trouble with law enforcement and surrounding neighbours of the location.

Given that the Motorenwerk is an underground location and can't withstand this amount of legal pressure we we're informed this week that all further Dub Gate dates have been cancelled.

We are deeply sorry to all of you who have recently paid for your membership and have grown to love dub gate but we also want to stand in solidarity with the location as it isn't completely their faul that this collaboration had to be terminated.

In Vienna it has grown increasingly difficult for locations to allow certain types of parties. Everyone working in or with Soundsystems knows this problem, which is why we want to raise awareness for free spaces in Vienna. This should be a wake-up call for everyone who enjoyed Dub Gate and will miss it going onwards to take action, participate in protests like the one on the 25.05. (info in top comment) and just generally get active in the scene! Support local Soundsystems like you should support any other local artist you like in these difficult times. Any small gesture goes a long way.

For us a chapter closes but that doesn't mean we are done by any means. We will be back better and stronger than before to make you all shake and skank again. This hasn't bee the last dance for Riddim Rebels, that's for sure.

If you want to help out in any way or form or want to donate to fill the hole in our budget which the last two sessions have left you can contact us via dubgate.kulturverein@gmail.com. Until further notice this has been it for Dub Gate but catch Riddim Rebels in a dance near you!

See you soon, family 💚 taken in Vienna, Austria by @riddimrebels

Thanks Acquaviva 🙏🏻💚

There's not enough space on this post to thank everyone for this wonderful experience ✨

What is there to say?

Big up to the real Sound Veteran man like @sandokanhifi 👑 (seen running from the clash on slide 17 - haha just kidding, it was an honour, a pleasure and a joy to go toe to toe again with our big brother Alex 💚 - slide 18 references a certain sign from Sandokan's post hehe 🦊)

Nuff respect to the awesome hosts @healhertz_soundsystem for organising such a beautiful gathering and taking care of our every needs 🙏🏻

Thanks to @jahroad_hifi , @hvala.sven , @miki.delay , @irieyouthman_rootikalchamber and our sista Sabri from @dubengine for being amazing artists and empowering the session 🔥

Big up to all the workers at the bar, kitchen and to all those beautiful dancers staying with us until deep into the morning dawn 🌄

Special mention to our sound engineer and last second dubplate provider big man @aldubonemusic
! Thanks for being part of our musical journey 💚

We can't explain how happy we are to have such beautiful connections all throughout the scene and can't wait to bring you more Riddim Rebels vibes to a session near you! 😎

Until then, DUB GATE soon come... --> 16.05.26 👀 by @riddimrebels

All right all right all right

First and foremost, a huge thank you to all the volounteers and crews that helped us with bar, kitchen and preparations ✨

It's been something amazing, we (meaning not only us as a crew, but the whole family) created something precious, something money can't buy 🫶🏻

A big big thanks goes to the veteran @sandokanhifi , and the breddas from @riddimrebels who traveled from far to bring their soundsystem here.

Also to @jahroad_hifi who came all the way from Naples, asking for nothing without even knowing each other well. A top selection; if you are looking for something different from the usuals, the name is Jah Road!

Some new friends came with Sandokan from Zagreb, their names are @hvala.sven and @miki.delay. They did an amazing 4hrs back-to-back selection 💣

Then as always @alfreedom_selector was by our side, and @irieyouthman_rootikalchamber closed the friday night session with his first time selection for 2 hours 🔥

Last but not least, we want to thank all the people who came and enjoyed the vibes. We can do more of this kind of events only with your support, so please when you come to Acquaviva, remember that! ❤️ taken in Besenello by @riddimrebels

Yes, people! 🏴‍☠️

It's been two weeks since DUB GATE - Breaking the Ice and thanks to the amazing @_.focuspocus._ we're able to share some impressions from that unforgettable night ✨📸

Thanks to our big brother @marco_mistical for coming all the way from Sicily with his fiery selection and lots of good vibes ☀️

Thanks to @dubbingsun for making it to Dub Gate, after many tries to bring them to the capital, and for showcasing their newest album. Big up to @piyazawa and @kol.ee_aka_king_d in support 💥💚

Big thanks goes out to our brother @irieyouthman_rootikalchamber who supported us on the mic 🎤🔥

Last but not least we want to thank the Crew, the Volunteers, the Dancers, all the Guests and our crepe maniac @foodjockeyalexandertrinkl for feeding the masses all night 🥞🫶🏻

Without all of you DUB GATE wouldn't be possible! So big up to each and everyone! 📢

Big up @motorenwerk.wien ✌🏻

DUB GATE meets ComeUnityDub! 🏴‍☠️

Three institutions of Dub here in Vienna come together to create a collaboration unheard of before. Riddim Rebels joins forces with Rootsmessenjah Hifi and Mogli Treasure Isle to bring you the best of Dub straight to the capital 👀

In this new spin off series of DUB GATE we will focus on bigger, international artists and bring them to Vienna every other month in-between regular DUB GATEs. ✨

To ring in this new joint venture we bring you no other than the legendary Dougie Conscious a.k.a. Conscious Sound a.k.a. Bush Chemist straight from the UK featuring the mighty Dixie Peach on the microphone as lyrical support and MC for the night 👑🎤

In addition to that we will treat you to a set from each and everyone from the organising crews. Riddim Rebels to Rootsmessenjah Hifi to Mogli Treasure Isle - a whole lot a tunes and even more vibes 🔥

Second Floor won't be secret this time but run by our good friends at @citruscue. Check them out for more information on their LineUp 🔊

Mark down the 17.04. in your calendar. Tell your friends and family, tell your neighbour, tell even that one annoying colleague at work. This one's not to miss! ✌🏻

Stay tuned, family! 📢
