Finally went for a real ride by myself this week. I’ve just been seriously lacking in motivation, partly from all the seat problems I’ve had in the last year or so, and partly just… well, I guess stationary objects tend to stay stationary. 😝

As usual the Roanoke River Greenway is lovely in spring, though I noticed a few changes that made me wonder what’s going on… not only the massive construction going on at Wasena Park, but some wildflower fields that are definitely not wildflower anymore. Also it seems like we might be about to get a really long detour around MORE instruction for a new bridge in the Wiley Park area… sigh. Anyway, it was still a gorgeous day for a ride and I was so glad I went!

Also I’m still obsessed with my new bag and now I need to match it to EVERYTHING. by @riderevivethrive

Had an absolute blast at Gralley Cat 2026 yesterday!! Thanks so much to @dirtykittengravel for an amazing event. Loved the map, loved the clues, loved the vibe. It was great to see people, especially since I just sat out all bike events last year. And this year we found the Party Barn with @quikaf77 (pineapple margarita shots FTW)! Loved seeing a bunch of kids out with their families too. 😻 Won’t be my last Gralley Cat. If you haven’t been you should totally go. Low pressure, high fun, stunning views and amazing gravel roads. I still didn’t make it up the Kitten Crusher… but maybe one of these years. 😂😹 by @riderevivethrive

I “stopped to take pictures” and just let him keep going. 🤣 In the middle of this little section of never ending rollers. Actually it wasn’t the rollers that got me - it was that it was supposed to be 72° and ended up being 90°. I was not prepared. 😝😂 #lovemybike #womenonbikes #bikevirginia by @riderevivethrive

Happy new year, everyone!!! I’m so excited for 2025 and despite the state of the world (dumpster fire), I feel super enthusiastic and positive about many things in my life. I hope I can spread it around. 💚💚💚 2024 was a bit of an upward struggle and especially this time a year ago I was feeling really down and like I was just trying to survive and catch up. Been having a lot of trouble with motivation lately. I know moving my body, getting my heartrate up, being outside - all these things are what make me feel better. Always. Even on days like today, when I went out under-dressed for 42° and a headwind. 😆 Not sure why it’s been so hard to just MOVE lately but I’m trying to not slip entirely! Meanwhile my feet FROZE and require a day to recover…
