This is 3 months late but… I’m committed to Oklahoma City University for a double major in music theatre and vocal performance!

This process has been so challenging but so rewarding. I’m so thankful to have been able to find out who I was as an actress through this journey. I’d like to thank @bettymariemuessig for her wonderful training and insight on this process, as well as Dr. Marion Dickson for training me on all of my musical repertoire. Most importantly, I want to thank my family. My mom, @chelsea_popp , made this happen, as she was with me for each audition, cheering me on. Although this process made her a little bit emotional, I’m so glad she was there to support me in my dreams and act as a shoulder to cry on.

When I first applied and auditioned for colleges, I auditioned for both musical theatre and vocal performance. However, when results started coming in and I got into schools for either musical theatre alone or vocal performance alone, I felt as though my heart was being ripped into 2. Through OCU, I will be able to continue on in both MT and opera, and I’m so thankful for that. This truly is the school for me, and I’m so excited to spend my next 4 years there. Go stars! 🩵⭐️
