POSTS STORIES REELS

Today was mine and Carrie Combs 31st friendaversary!!!! She came over to my house and engineered for me so that I could get some of the final vocal overdubs for my next record done. It was the first time I got to sing in my Pokémon vocal booth that my dad and partners built for me!! Aaaand I got through 3 songs, 2 of which were the ones I was the most worried about. One, because it’s a super emotional song and I was afraid I would start crying. The other, is like a more technical pain in the butt because it’s kind of a more free-form piece and I like rules. lol so yeah I got the hardest two out of the way plus a fun one. And that takes me down to 7 left to track vocals for!!! This record is soooo close to finished I can taste it 🥹🙏🏼✨ by @rie_daisies

I had a very happy Halloween this year!! We got a ton of trick or treaters and then I got to go out to the woods and celebrate around a bonfire!!! by @rie_daisies

Quick update on my cancer journey. For the last couple of months I was taken off treatments because my mouth had broken out with horrific sores, completely covering the insides of my cheeks, behind my lips, and under my tongue. I also had a really bad case of thrush. Because of this I was unable to eat solid food and had lost a really scary amount of weight. My teeth really took a toll from the dryness and infection and have been literally crumbling out of my head. So I’ve been on a pretty intense steroid run to try and heal my mouth up and gain some weight back. Which worked!! My mouth is almost back to normal and I’ve put back on about 10 pounds. I’ve also been into the dentist and had one tooth rebuilt so far (more to come) and some fillings, I’m due back there again for some more work in multiple upcoming appointments.
While I was going through this, apparently the immunotherapy that I had already had was still in my body doing its job and my numbers just keep getting better and better, I’m winning this battle for now!! Unfortunately I am stage four so I will never completely get rid of this and I’ll have to have immunotherapy for the rest of my life, but I’m getting close to remission and I have high hopes that I’ll live a while longer yet!
I had made it just past half of my first GoFundMe goal with all of your help, but that money was quickly used up on things like co-pays, dental work, my many prescriptions, and of course the things that insurance has not covered. If you’re able to donate, I would greatly appreciate it! You can also help by purchasing my albums, streaming and sharing my music, and adding my music to your playlists. With your help I’ll get through this without an insurmountable amount of medical debt and my teeth still in my head. 😝😬🤣
If you’re unable to donate, you can help by liking, commenting, sharing this post, coming and playing Pokémon with me, and hugs. Hugs help big time!! 😝🥰✨

An appreciation post…
Some people come into your life for a season or two, and some people come into your life and become a piece of you forever. I don’t know how I got so lucky to have a childhood best friend that has remained a true sister for 30+ years!!! Whenever I have a crazy idea, she’s there. Not just there but she’s driving, she’s got the goodie bag, she’s got the hand to hold, she’s got the ideas to really bring my ideas to life, she’s got the smile to keep me going! There is no one like her and never will be!! She’s the smartest person I know but would never make you feel dumb. She’s the yin to my yang. I love her with every fiber of my being and she is my soul mate of best friends. This woman has always been my biggest supporter and has pushed me and fueled me and HELPED me become the woman that I am today and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. She’s the reason I’m fighting so hard. I love you, Care!!! by @rie_daisies

So for the holidays a couple years ago, my partner Gavin got me some PSA graded Pokémon cards (including the full art SIR Meloetta card on the left). I had never even heard of PSA before at the time and I thought it was soooo cool!! He told me that he got me the Meloetta card because she reminded him of me as a Pokémon and I LOVED that!!! I really am a Meloetta!!! Which led me to believe you can’t pick your own Pokémon that represents you hahaha someone you love that knows you super well has to pick it for you!! So in honor of my new Instagram acct @pokemon_girl_survivor, here’s some of my Meloetta collectibles!! 🥹💕💅🏼✨
