Five minutes after the final whistle in Tokyo, I received a message from @upstart_press … “Sevens Sisters, there’s a book in that”.
And here it is - the inside story of how the Black Ferns Sevens became the most dominant team in rugby.

They’re nearly unstoppable on the field but it’s off it where these incredible women and the people around them truly make a mark and I can’t thank them enough for the time and effort they’ve put into this. Many of these players will have their own stories to tell, but this is about the collective and how they got to gold.

Pre-order from today, July 14!
In stores July 21st!

A quick whiz around Glasgow 2026 Comm Games, featuring:

- A special guest star 🥵
- Undoubtedly my worst ever captured in the back of shot embarrassment (you’ll know when you see it 🫣)
- A whole lot of great people 🫶

Time for a battery recharge. taken in Glasgow, Scotland by @rikkis

“Rikki is an extrovert, this sometimes gets in the way of her school work” Year 9 report.

Only sometimes an extrovert nowadays but at least it’s taken me places. ✈️ 🏉 🎤 by @rikkis

6 months, 9 stops, 432 games … triumph, tears, joy, ridiculous skills, incredible stories.

A narration of my own life…my 75th attempt at posting more and taking more photos in general, so here’s a selection from Vancouver & New York.

Next step is to include myself in some of the pics. Baby steps. by @rikkis

I’ve got no great profound wisdom or wrap up to end 2025, just an old pic of me, chilling at home (with great hair & make-up, post work) as I toast the year and those we’ve lost along the way.

“Confident” is the very basic word I’m using as a guide for 2026, applied to many aspects of life. So I wish you confidence, or whatever else you need to get through. ❤️✨ by @rikkis

🎤 82,000 in the stands and millions watching on TV.

🏉 hundreds gather for the good of the game.

👯‍♀️ co-comms who looks like your sister, brings treats, chauffeurs and always smashes it.

📺 the ultimate professionals, who you trust implicitly, the only people you’d want to spend six weeks (oof) with, bringing the lols on the way.

❤️ the ones who always have your back.

⭐️ the unsung hero’s, the rugby tragics, always in your corner.

A snapshot of Rugby World Cup 2025 that only scratches the surface. The players, the platform, the people.

(and let’s be honest, because I’m hopeless at taking photos, there’s a hundred others who should be in this post. I see you all …just not through a camera lens) by @rikkis
