After more than 3 decades, it’s time to say goodbye. Today is my final day with FCS & Surf Hardware International. What an incredible journey! From the early days of Gorilla Grip where it all started and I signed my first contract in 1991, to the launch of the original FCS system, FCS II, the H Series fins, and countless fins and hardware products. I‘m very proud of my contributions over the years across many company departments that have seen FCS and other SHI brands such as Gorilla and Softech thrive, I’m also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow and learn about business as I transitioned from a professional surfer to a dedicated employee of the brands.Above all, I value the personal interactions I’ve had, and the friendships that’ve formed both inside and outside this organisation which I’m sure will continue long into the future. I’ve had the pleasure of working with the world’s best surfers, shapers, designers marketers, content creators and surf hardware geeks… and for me it’s those human interactions that are amongst the real highlight moments!
