my boyfriends family had “family pictures” planned while everyone was visiting on vacation. i was completely clueless as to what was about to happen next.

a big storm had blown in right before these “family pictures” were going to occur. the winds were strong, rains heavy, and temperatures dropping.

we decided to risk the weather.

here’s the BUT GOD moment…

the beach cleared of people. the rain stopped. the ominous clouds began to open up to the most incredible sunset full of yellows and purples. as if all of Heaven was about to watch what would happen next.

our amazing photographer wanted to take some couple shots of Luke and i. she said she wanted some “creative shots for her portfolio”.

she asked us to turn our backs to each other.

a rainbow appeared (seriously, you cannot make this up), Luke dropped to his knee, and as Morgan told me to turn around, i looked down to find the love of my life asking me to marry him.

of course, i exclaimed a big YES!!!!!, and as we hugged, Luke whispered in my ear.

he said “turn around, there are more people here to see you”.

i turn and see my parents, best friend, and about 15 other loved ones SPRINTING towards us.

i fell on my knees, almost melting into the ground. Luke fell with me. we all cried, oh my, we cried so much! in the best way.

what a dream! what a surprise!

i couldn’t stop repeating these words over and over in my head.. “i prayed so hard for this”.

God will do it, ladies and gentlemen!

do not, ever, settle. hold onto hope. keep your heart safe for your person because they ARE out there.

i love you @lukedelp , so much. you are my greatest blessing. my answered prayer. being able to become the next “Mrs. Delp” is the greatest honor of my life! 🤍🌈✨

a glimpse into a day handcrafted by God. a day i could live in forever.

as i look back through these photos, all i can do is praise Jesus. His presence filled the atmosphere and His faithfulness was beyond evident.

Highlights from ASSISI!!!

• Probably one of our favorite moments from our trip was staying with Stefania and getting cooking lessons from her! We could not recommend @pastaalpestocookinglessons enough! 👩🏼‍🍳🍝
• Exploring the city of Assisi — We went into some beautiful churches ⛪️ shopped in local stores 🛍️ and had an amazing wine tasting @cantina_di_filippo 🍷
• I met a lot of local kitties, which made me so happy 😻
• Luke was our sommelier while we soaked in family time and ate lots of 🥖 + 🧀!

6. dedication for Tom Roy UPI Park—Grace College’s new baseball stadium
7. our first born fur baby, Scottie
8. spontaneous trip to my first Colts game
9. fall party with the sweetest friends
10. networking and being encouraged at Warsaw’s Growth Summit
11. Luke finally has a truck, yay
12. our daily reminder—in HIS time, for HIS glory
