today marks 1 year cancer free.
when i was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma i didnt know what to expect but i knew i was absolutely terrified. i knew my life would change completely, i knew i would be pushed to my limits and i knew this would be the biggest challenge ive ever faced. no one associates happiness with cancer and to know that my cancer helped me find mine is such a privilege. i never expected something so negative to impact me so positively and change my life for the better. when this journey began i was so broken, i was surrounded by terrible people and stuck in the biggest depression hole and somehow my cancer is the only reason i got out of it. cancer taught me to love myself, i mean really love myself, and to only allow peace in my life. i’ve been so lucky to find some of the most amazing people along the way who have put in so much effort to make me feel loved, i’ve found my passion in fitness and fallen in love with taking care of my health and i hope to inspire others to do the same eventually, ive found a job that actually appreciates all my effort and i’ve found my rave community that i can’t wait to make countless more memories with. i spent so many years surviving but cancer taught me how to live again, the way my mindset changed needs to be studied because im still in awe of myself. it’s crazy to think that if i hadn’t gone through this i wouldn’t be where i am right now and id still be stuck in that hole.
