our sold out @akt.party during pride weekend was everything I could have wished for and more <33 Building a space for FLINTA* and queer people in this economy (lol) takes a lot of strength. But more than that, it means constantly pushing against structures that were never built with us in mind. It means being questioned, underestimated and dealing with a lot more resistance than people often see. I would be lying if I said we didn’t think about giving up at least 100 times along the way. Creating akt is super fulfilling, but it’s also political work, emotional work and often invisible work. That’s why I’m so incredibly proud we pushed through!! I’m endlessly grateful for my partners in crime @gianniiidj & @lagerhansi_ 🤍 Here’s to many more hot parties and to protecting spaces where our community gets to exist and shake their a$$es xx Photos by the amazing @millaminhthi by @rinarc__
