Hi, I’m Marissa 👋🏼 Owner + Lead Stylist at Rinse Luxury Salon in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

I’ve been behind the chair for over 20 years, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that hair is personal. It’s confidence, it’s identity, it’s self-expression and I feel lucky every day to be a part of that.

I specialize in lived-in color, blonde transformations, and extensions. The kind of hair that looks effortless but makes you feel unstoppable. As an IBE-certified extensions stylist in Rhode Island, I can give you that wow-factor without sacrificing the health of your natural hair.

Opening Rinse in 2023 was a huge leap of faith, but I wanted to create something different: a laid-back but luxe salon in East Greenwich that feels welcoming, creative, and inclusive. At Rinse, it’s just as much about the vibe as it is the hair.

Yes, we’re here to do really good hair, but what happens behind the chair matters just as much to us.

Rinse is a space where artists are encouraged to create, find their own style, share what they know, and cheer each other on while doing it. We believe really strongly in education, staying inspired, and always finding ways to grow into better artists than we were yesterday.

We take our craft seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously.

And for our clients, we want that to translate into an experience that feels a little different. Elevated without being stuffy. Luxury without the pressure. A place where you can settle in, be yourself, trust your artist, and leave with really good hair.

Talented artists who love what they do, in a space that gives them room to do it.

Coastal Cream Blonde 🌊

I’ve been a little quiet over here, but definitely not creatively.

Somewhere between doing hair and building @thebloomeditcollective , I fell in love with being behind the lens. Learning my camera, figuring out light, playing with composition, and getting to capture the final look exactly how I see it has opened up a completely different part of my creativity.

And these photos feel a little special because of that.

The hair, the cut, the creamy blonde, the movement, the light, this is one of those finished looks that felt just as good to photograph as it did to create.

I’m still learning. Still figuring out what my eye looks like behind a camera. But I’m having way too much fun with it.

Turns out I really love creating the hair and telling its story.

Costal Bronde 🐚

I think the East Coast is starting to show up in my work.

A little moodier, a little softer, still sun-kissed where it counts.

Since moving to Rhode Island, I’ve found myself pulling inspiration from everything around me. The coastline, the worn-in neutrals, that end-of-summer color that somehow feels warm and muted at the same time.

And this bronde felt like all of that.

We kept her natural depth, added ribbons of warmth and brightness, and let everything melt together instead of fighting for contrast. Lived-in color that doesn’t need to scream “freshly highlighted” to make an impact.

Undetectable extensions doesn’t happen by accident.

With sew-in weft extensions, the placement matters just as much as the color match. Every weft was intentionally placed to work with her natural density, movement + color, then blended so everything moves together as one.

The goal isn’t to see the extensions. It’s to see the hair.

And this blend did exactly that.
