The skeleton so everybody can see themselves in it. The bikini because it’s awesome (my twin). And the hands keep a pretty solid balance on everything ❤️‍🔥 taken in Malibu Beach by @rio.imperato

my met collection! I made a collage and here’s why 🤍

a little why (SWIPE)

These two works, depict youth and hope and later beauty near death. A dreamy still life and impressionistic flowing scene melt into a little poster of beauty and magic under any condition.

XOXOXO

Sprite (by a sculptor in Donatello’s circle, c. 1432)

The Sprite captures the joyful spirit of the early Renaissance, its dancing, winged child embodying movement, innocence, and wonder in bronze. Though created by a sculptor very close to Donatello-perhaps even under his direct influence-it reflects the same revolutionary interest in bringing life and emotion into sculpture. Art historians treasure it as one of the finest surviving examples of the playful spiritelli that helped define Renaissance art, and it is admired today by scholars, collectors, and visitors to the Metropolitan Museum of Art alike. Its charm lies in its ability to make something mythical feel deeply human, inviting generations of viewers to smile more than five centuries later.

Monet’s Water Lilies

Claude Monet painted his Water Lilies in the final decades of his life, transforming the pond in his beloved garden at Giverny into one of the most celebrated visions in art history. Rather than depicting a place, the paintings immerse the viewer in shifting light, reflection, and color, creating a quiet, almost dreamlike experience. They have been cherished by millions of museum visitors and praised by artists ranging from the Abstract Expressionists to contemporary painters for changing the way people think about painting itself. Today, the series remains a symbol of serenity, beauty, and the profound emotional power that can be found in nature’s simplest moments. taken in The Met by @rio.imperato
