Had a wonderful time firing up my wood kiln as a host kiln for @newenglandwfc.

Everyone’s work came out juicy and amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer firing. We also beat the heat by a few days (90 today and 96 by Tuesday 😱)

Il post a little of everyone’s work in the order I wrote their name in the post. I threw in one of my new pieces (the direction my work is going to move) on the end. Can’t wait to hear what you all think!

This is a wood fired lot I made with a high alumina clay body. It was my first time using this clay body and it didn’t turn out as expected but I love the results.

The front side from my last post.

Most people don’t notice it but, there is a sheep on the back of his head. When I was making the guy for some reason I started to see a sheep so I just went for it. It’s kinda weird but hey what are you gonna do.
