Fun day on the Large Pink Unit with a great group. A true all surface ride to check out the Windell velodrome. A paved outdoor velodrome built by Belgium immigrants in 1971 last proper race in 2001 O’cup. A 250m velodrome with 45 degree banks. We weren’t sure if it would be overgrown and unrideable but it was in reasonably good condition, and fun to ride on a gravel single speed. Finished on the Brantford bird trail in interesting bit of singletrack decorated with so many colourful and fancy birdhouses contributed by random Brantford residents. Then unexpectedly ended the ride back at Mohawk Park in the middle of the Brantford Pride Festival. I was especially happy that the group kept the ride at Riot pace!! by @riotmtb
