@ripelove hitting the road for a big ol’ tour today, co-headlining with @allenstone, a guy who I have admired and looked up to musically since I was a wee college boy. As an artist or a band you’re LUCKY if you get to do this saaayyyy…10 times in your career? Releasing an album is such a precious and momentous thing. It is something that will last forever, long after we are all gone. On this, the day of our third full length album’s release, I feel grateful to do this with people I love. I feel grateful to get to do this at all.

I hope you enjoy this record. We certainly gave it our all. Legitimately endless gratitude to everyone who helped make this record what it is. You know who you are and I freakin love you.

As artists we need to grow. In 2013 I never would have imagined us writing this song. Life happens, growth happens, people come and go, and the people who stay create a fullness in life that is the fuel for joy and fulfillment. That is what has led us to this moment; to this song. The passing of time and the growth that comes along with that. That’s what led to this song. To all of this new music.

To my brothers in the band, I love you and I love what we made here. I’m so proud of it and us. To our friends, our family, my loved ones, my loved one, and everyone who is on this ride…I’m just so happy and so grateful. Im full of love. This is all a gift, and one that I do not take for granted.

I hope Lonely Magician speaks to you, in even the smallest way. I can’t wait for the album to come out next month. I can’t wait to keep making memories with the people I love. I can’t wait to continue living this life with you all.

All of my love to all of my loved ones, and to all of you reading this. Thanks for reading and thanks for listening.

Our new single “Cheap Seats” came out yesterday. We also announced that our third album, “Play The Game”, will be out on September 19th. What was supposed to be an extremely exciting day turned into an extremely scary day. The band got into a bad accident that sent two of us to the hospital. There were points yesterday when the future seemed terrifying and uncertain. Today I am so relieved to say that we will all be ok. Now we get to celebrate not just the release of our single and the announcement of our album, but also the fact that we get to continue doing what we love most, which is making music together for all of you. To say I’m grateful would be an understatement.

So, given that we are still here, I hope you enjoy Cheap Seats! I hope you’re as excited for our new album as we are!
