Riptide Film Festival 2025 Film #RFF2025

This was a screening with a room full of people who care about story.

Filmmakers flew in. For some it was their premieres. Crowds locked in and shared moments sure to last.

Red carpet and theater seats. Big screen. Great sound. Live crowd. In a theatre, the way film is meant to be experienced.

Films are meant to be watched in community. Connecting. Celebrating. Being seen be one another.

The Riptide Film Festival is a place where filmmakers, audiences, and community meet on the same level.

Small enough to care. Big enough to matter.

If you’ve ever wanted your work to feel real…this is where it happens.

RFF 2026 — Festival date coming soon.

Submit. Attend. Sponsor. Be part of the story.

Why must we keep independent cinema alive? 🎬✨

Because in a world of predictable studio sequels, independent film is where raw artistic risk, authentic storytelling, and creative freedom thrive.
These bold California voices deserve to be experienced the way they were meant to be seen: on a giant screen, with a live community.

This Saturday, TOCA Presents the Riptide Film Festival right here at the James R. Armstrong Theatre . Come support local filmmakers and keep the soul of cinema alive!

🗓️ This Saturday, Oct 17, 2026
⏰ Red Carpet & Screenings at 4:00 PM
🎟️ All-Access Pass: $15 (Entry to all screening blocks)
👑 VIP Upgrade: $40 (Includes early seating, photos, & lounge access)
🚗 Free parking on-site.

You’ve seen the trophy and know what’s at stake! 🏆

Now take a look at the specific criteria we’re using to recognize these awesome indie films! ⭐️

Like last year, we are recognizing achievements in screenwriting and directing. BUT THIS YEAR, we are adding to new awards to the ceremony:

⭐️ Best Editing (in the Indie Wave Division) 🎞️
AND
⭐️ Best Cinematography (in the High School Wave Division) 🎥

The incredible talent showcased this year demanded an expansion of our awards. However we still only have 9 awards and 28 films! 😳😱

Buy your ticket NOW, to see who’s going to take home the big awards!
