Here’s the full length recap of this trip.

Just very grateful for the 10 days back in the hometown, this time with Namie and Masaki after almost 2 decades since we’re all together. What a crazy roadtrip, from eating Balut to harvesting Quail Eggs. From donating food to the children to a surprise wedding. These 10 days are great representation of life. It was like a typical filipino dra-medy family roadtrip film.

Again thank you so much for the trip, till next time✨

Our final stop of the north roadtrip is at my dad’s province where he had his childhood for awhile over there while being under the care of great grandma.

Just another core memory for us, but more importantly to Masaki and Namie who have not been here for awhile. I reenacted my childhood side hustle of working at a sari-sari store, somewhat like a sidewalk small mama shop that has almost everything

We went to the farm site where we harvested quail eggs and ate mangoes. After that we gave out food to the children in the area. Plus not forgetting a game of basketball

What a way to end the roadtrip. Aagyaman!

Pure fairytale just happened right in front of our eyes. As a person who has yet to experience a wedding in a long time

(last one was when I was like 3 years old as ring bearer, I think)

But yes, so grateful that the surprise was a success with the help of everyone and that no tongue slipped for my mom to spot. My mom really denied having this beach renewal of vows but here we are✨

Lovely place as well, the waves, the sky pure fairytale💫

Feeling espaniol, we made it to our first main stop - the historical site of Vigan City, staying for a night in a big mansion and we had dinner at a Mang Inasal.

In a historical aesthetic, here’s me in a Filipino Barong a traditional costume here. Plus we rode the kalesa too passing by historical landmarks, a bumpy ride though because of the brick roads taken in Vigan Heritage Site, Calle Crisologo, Vigan Ilocos Sur by @rirekigel

When you’re in Philippines one thing every tourist should do is get out of the city and have a long roadtrip to the north to visit the countryside full of culture.

So on the first stop we went to our great grandfather’s place. We pumped water and harvested some fruits. Not bad for city kids like us on our first try😅 taken in Ilocos Sur, Philippines by @rirekigel
