Welcome to Rise Overrun.

For those of you who don’t know, this band has existed for about 3 years in some form under the name Slade Lake! About a year ago we decided that while we were happy with what we were doing, what we’d been working on was a new project with a new sound, it need new faces and a new name….So we got back to work rebuilding and writing, putting together a group that we think is pretty special. It’s taken a long time to figure all of this out but we’re very happy to say that we’ve been working hard on an EP that is well underway/ almost done. We are super excited to have you running with us.

Meet the band:

Popular local band Rise Overrun hits pause on live gigs

Fans of up and coming Kelowna band Rise Overrun will have to wait a year to see them live again.

The successful five-member outfit wowed judges at Battle Of The Bands which then got them a place at this summer’s Rock The Lake.

However, front man Slade Coffman is moving to Edinburgh, Scotland to study physics, but the plan is to keep recording new songs.

He and guitarist Alex Baldassare chatted with Kelowna10 recently about the future.#kelowna #okanagan #livemusic taken in Kelowna, British Columbia by @riseoverrunband

Rise Overrun wows Rock The Lake!

Recent Battle of the Bands winners Rise Overrun fully lived up to that success with a fun, confident, but humble performance at Rock The Lake.

They opened proceedings on the Sunday afternoon at Prospera Place and pulled off a slick and tight set in which lead singer Slade Coffman made clear how special it was for the band to be on such a big stage.

“Look Ma, I’m on the big screen” he said, while acknowledging “...we are nobodies and we want to change that.” #kelowna #okanagan #rtlkelowna #indie by @riseoverrunband

From local stages to the Rock the Lake lineup—well deserved.

This was my second time photographing Rise Over Run, and they continue to impress. They’re young, talented, and bring incredible energy to the stage, but what stands out most is how humble and genuine they are. It’s been fun watching their journey, and seeing them perform at Rock the Lake felt like a big moment for a band that’s been putting in the work.

Kelowna should be proud of this one. Big things ahead for these guys.

The last time I saw Rise Overrun was at DunnEnzies back in October. Seeing you guys play Rock the Lake was a completely different experience.

It was awesome to see you perform again and to see how far you've come in such a short time. Congratulations on all the well deserved success and recognition. You guys have earned it.

I'm looking forward to editing these shots.
Thanks for having me out!

Go check out their latest release "One Lucky Duck", if you haven't already! 🤘
