At RISE, just being able to witness the unbelievable progress of our young people is what keeps us motivated to keep going, making a real difference and prioritising our students is what matters most.

Here are just some of our student testimonials, we are so unbelievably proud of everything our young people have achieved just by showing up. Each new day at RISE is a step closer to progress, a step closer to achieving goals and a step closer to change.

We understand the struggles many neurodiverse young people have to face every moment of every day. Which is why we take it one step at a time, celebrating every single step they achieve because every element of progress takes bravery and courage and that warrants celebration! #sendeducation #education #neurodiversity #acceptance by @risespaceofficial

What no one tells you about ADHD is how deeply it can affect relationships and connection.

For many people with ADHD, rejection sensitivity can make criticism, conflict or even a small change in someone’s tone feel much bigger than it might appear from the outside.

Understanding this can completely change the way we communicate, connect and support one another💚 by @risespaceofficial

Before we think about targets, timetables or what somebody should be achieving, there’s something much more important we need to understand.

The person in front of us.

What helps them feel comfortable?
What makes a difficult day harder?
How do they communicate when something isn’t right?
Where are their strengths?
What has education felt like for them until now?

For some young people, previous experiences mean walking into another educational environment already comes with a lot of baggage.

We can’t expect somebody to simply leave that at the door.

So at RISE, getting to know the individual isn’t something that happens alongside the work.

It’s where the work starts. by @risespaceofficial

Imagine living in a world where everything feels louder, busier and harder to process than it does for everyone around you.

For many neurodivergent people, experiences others barely notice can feel completely overwhelming.
Understanding starts with trying to see the world from someone else’s perspective.

At Rise Space, we create an environment where our students don’t have to fit into the world around them. We work to understand the world as they experience it💚 by @risespaceofficial

A lesson doesn’t automatically become more valuable because it happens behind a desk.

Sometimes the best conversations happen while walking.

Sometimes problem-solving happens while building something.

Sometimes confidence appears when somebody is given a practical challenge rather than a worksheet.

And sometimes a young person who finds a traditional learning environment difficult suddenly shows you a completely different side of themselves when the environment changes.

That’s a big part of the thinking behind RISE WILD.

The outdoors isn’t simply somewhere different to learn.
It can give us a different opportunity to see what a young person is capable of. by @risespaceofficial

ADHD awareness month is about showing that it is more than just being 'easily distracted'. ADHD can effect every aspect of a persons life, which is why empathy, understanding and compassion is so important 💙 by @risespaceofficial

There’s something extraordinary about the connection between horses and people.

For neurodiverse young people, horses can offer a different way to communicate, build trust and grow in confidence, without the pressure of always needing the right words.

At Rise Space, we see the power of that connection every day through our students🐴💚 by @risespaceofficial

Progress doesn’t always look like sitting an exam or completing a worksheet.

Sometimes it’s walking through the door.
Staying for an extra hour.
Joining a conversation when you normally wouldn’t.
Trying something new without immediately wanting to leave.

For many of the young people we support at RISE, those moments are huge.

We’re not interested in measuring every young person against the same definition of success. We want to understand where they’re starting from and recognise the steps forward that matter to them.

Those small wins have a habit of becoming much bigger ones. by @risespaceofficial

The first month of the new school year is done💛

For some children and young people, the return to school might already feel like a distant memory. For others, they may still be finding their feet.

New routines, different classrooms, changing expectations and a lot more to process every day can take time to adjust to, particularly for neurodiverse young people.

So if the first few weeks haven’t gone exactly as you’d hoped, that’s okay. Settling into a new school year doesn’t happen overnight.

Keep checking in, keep noticing what’s working and remember that progress can look different for every child.

Here’s to taking the rest of the school year one day at a time. 💛 by @risespaceofficial
