POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My dad came to this country like many immigrants today — through courage, struggle and sacrifice. He worked his hands raw for a shot at the American dream. So when politicians talk about “middle-class values” and still vote against those values — gutting healthcare, ignoring soaring costs of living, selling off our public lands and wildlife to the highest corporate bidders — it’s hard to see leadership. But the exhausting political hypocrisy is impossible to miss.

Like much of history, we are fed sanitized versions of truth to keep us lulled into a false sense of comfort. On this occasion why not see Christopher Columbus for who he really was — a guy who took a paycheck to do a merciless job.

More than 500 years later and not much has changed. Mercenaries are still taking blood money for ruthless crimes against humanity and the natural world.

And yet, there are signs that the spell is finally breaking. People are waking up, rubbing the sleep from their eyes, and refusing to look away. Confronting our own shadows and our nation’s greatest mistakes isn’t about dwelling in the past — it’s about looking in the mirror, reclaiming our power, and refusing to let greed strip away our humanity.

When we acknowledge the truth of our pasts, we can finally stop being silent and complicit in the face of present-day lies. This is our hope for a better future.

Our humanity is on the line and our vote in these 2026 midterm elections will determine which side of the line we’ll stand on. We must choose wisely.

I promised a thoughtful reply to a commenter regarding his concerns this USDA contractor was being demonized for her agency’s policies.

This short clip addresses why asking questions on public land is legitimate citizen oversight, and how maintaining empathy—even when we disagree—is a cornerstone of true advocacy. It keeps us grounded, preserves our dignity, and ensures our work creates meaningful, lasting impact.

Full video breakdown dropped tonight at 7:11 PM 🌿🤍🪷

At 6:12 a.m. I approached a USDA contractor surveying geese in my neighborhood.

One question led to a conversation I didn’t expect.

A note about aviation safety: Bird strikes are a real aviation safety concern. This story is not about ignoring that risk—it’s about asking whether proven, humane wildlife management strategies are being fully utilized before lethal methods are employed.

Should local residents be notified before Federal wildlife removal programs happen in residential areas?

Every time a wild animal is chained and forced onto a stage for human entertainment, they are stripped of their nature—and all too often, pay with their lives.

When Juma the jaguar was tragically shot and killed after being forced into the spotlight at the 2016 Olympics, artist Kenda Francis refused to let Juma’s life end as mere entertainment for human folly.

Through her canvas, Kenda restored Juma’s legacy. She painted her as the glorious queen she was—strutting proudly down a runway, replacing her chains with gold and silver and the dignity she was owed.

“She’s more precious than anything a human can make… like wildlife is.”

A single wild, untrained dolphin carries a price tag of over $200,000 (£150,000)💰🐬

Let that sink in. This isn’t “conservation”—it’s a ruthless corporate money-machine exploiting sentient, wild souls who belong in the open ocean. 💔

It’s time to reconsider our priorities. Reclaim our values. And stand up to roar for the voiceless, and empty the tanks. 🌊🦁💪

What happens when your dream job turns into your worst nightmare?

At just 17 years old, David Holroyd was super ambitious, wearing rose-colored glasses and wanting to train the finest dolphins in the world. And behind the “pretty pictures” we see as tourists, a much darker reality was waiting in the pens.

This is Clip 1 of a 6-part investigative series exposing what really happens behind the glass.

Follow along as the truth unfolds.

The vacuum effect is a proven ecological principle—whether it’s feral cats or Canada geese, nature works exactly the same way.

When we remove a population from a habitat abundant in food, water, and shelter, it doesn’t “solve” anything. It creates a “vacancy” sign for Nature to automatically move right in and fill the void—meaning new wildlife will flood the space, and the cycle repeats. 🌀

My neurodivergent son Liam can see right through this problem as clear as day.
So why are government agencies still prioritizing lethal programs year after year, when the data proves it fails long-term?

What we are looking at is a perpetual, taxpayer-funded loop designed for repeat business.

Should we continue funding the exact same practices that fail to solve our supposed problems? 🤔👇

Grateful for the artists and mentors who believe in young voices and the power of storytelling.

My son Alex’s one-act play Gene was produced as part of the Blank Theatre Young Playwrights Festival, brought to life by a director and cast who approached it with humor, care, and precision.

Gene is funny, surprising, and deeply human — a reminder that creativity builds empathy and connection in ways few other things can.

Thank you to @theblanktheatre and everyone who helped make Gene what it is.

When politicians weaponize heritage and call it pride, we all lose a piece of what makes America worth fighting for.

This piece is for every working mom, every caregiver, every immigrant’s child — every soul who’s ever fought for the right to live and be seen.

And it’s for the ancestors who crossed oceans, borders, and battlefields so we could speak truth to power.

This conversation shifted from what was happening to why.

The USDA contractor explained the agency manages resident Canada geese within a five-mile radius of Teterboro Airport to reduce the risk of bird strikes.

I asked a different question:
Who approved these operations, and how much does the public know about them?

🎙️ This clip is from the full episode:

A Note on Aviation Safety:
Bird strikes are a real concern, and no one wants to see people or wildlife harmed. The question isn’t whether conflicts should be addressed—it’s whether we’re using the most effective, humane, and sustainable solutions available before resorting to killing.

Compassion and public safety do not have to be in competition. We can choose both. The challenge is having the courage and commitment to invest in solutions that honor both.

What role should communities have in decisions about federal wildlife management in their local neighborhoods?

Something massive is shifting in the realm of animal advocacy. What started with me confronting a USDA worker in a neighborhood park has exploded into something much bigger.

Nearly 1 million people have joined this space on Instagram alone. That is not just a social media metric—it is a collective wake-up call that’s impossible to ignore.

I’m not sharing this clip to hand you answers, or tell you what to think. I am here presenting information and some tough questions—the kind humans tend to avoid:

Why is our default setting always to destroy what inconveniences us?

Look at the science. It’s called the "Vacuum Effect." When we kill off a species to clear a space, nature is always going to flow back in and restore the balance.

Empty space doesn't stay empty. Eradication is temporary, expensive, and a taxpayer-funded bandage on a self-inflicted wound.

So why do we keep doing the same ineffective thing, expecting a different result?

We already have the technology and wisdom to do this right AND also humanely.
We have advanced radar detection, smart habitat design, trained working dogs, non-lethal deterrents, and humane egg management. The actual, permanent solutions are here. Now. Today.

This is NOT a choice between human safety and wildlife. That is a false narrative.

The real question is: are we going to keep repeating lazy, outdated patterns, or are we finally going to use our minds and our hearts to apply what actually works? Because this isn’t just about geese. It’s about co-existing with the natural world for the long-haul.

The future belongs to the innovators who can solve a problem without leaving a trail of destruction behind them.
