Thinking of Old Hollywood today. 🎥
During my adventures in California, @risingstar52 and I took a little history trip around Hollywood. One of our stops was @mussoandfrankgrill!

When we first came to the back entrance, I looked at Ashley and said, “Are you sure this is the place?” Oh, it definitely was! Immediately upon entering is like stepping back in time to the golden age of Hollywood. Complete with many of the original fixtures and architectural details from the 1930’s. The old mahogany bar welcomed us, as we passed the old pay phone booth. It was supposedly the first installed pay phone in Hollywood. We enjoyed our early evening snack and drink, surrounded by historic vibes and the bartenders' iconic red coats.

According to the Musso & Frank Grill website: “From the beginning, Musso’s has been a favorite among Hollywood’s A-list. Charlie Chaplin was an early regular. Often seen lunching with Mary Pickford, Rudolph Valentino, and Douglas Fairbanks, Chaplin — legend has it — would challenge Douglas to a horse race down Hollywood Boulevard, and the winner had to pick up the tab at Musso’s. Charlie would win and gloat over a plate of Roast Lamb Kidneys, his favorite Musso’s meal.”

Chicago day 3: Enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea at the Palm Court at the @thedrakechicago

Being a museum girly, I simply had to check out @artinstitutechi

Wrote my fourth grade paper on Mary Cassatt and have been a fan ever since. Was so lucky that museum staff let me join members in preview of this exhibit.

Celebrating Route 66’s 100th birthday

Went on Chicago Crime, Mobsters & Ghost tour along Printers Row where Al Capone and other mobsters once ruled Chicago.

Toured theatre district down Death Alley & site of tragic 1903 theatre fire killing 602 people by @risingstar52

Chicago Day 2: What can I say? I’m a museum girly! Had a fabulous day at the @griffinmsi!

Enjoyed seeing the Zephyr!

Crafting Character: The Costumes of Paul Tazewell was awe inspiring! I was already a huge fan of @paultazewell ‘s work, but his insight into his inspiration and how he partnered with production designers and craftsmen to bring his ideas to life was incredible!

Day 1 in Chicago: Checked into the legendary @thedrakechicago

Had to return to the home of the cheezborger, cheezborger, cheezborger Billy Goat Tavern @cheezborger

During my last trip I was able to meet the legendary Sam Sianis

Although Sam is no longer with us, the tradition of Billy Goat Tavern lives on.

Stopped off at Navy pier for a ride on the Ferris wheel at the end of Route 66

Was so fortunate I got a call from @dudettecolette inviting me to work the Pokemon XP and Pokemon World Championship this weekend.
