Dolly All The Time 🛥️🌊🥧💄 4.5⭐️ Genre: romance Author: Annabel Monaghan … Oddly enough the last time I posted (last May, oops) it was also an Annabel Monaghan book! Who doesn’t love a book that sneaks in little life lessons and reminds you to do more for you? It’s so easy to put everyone else first, and I loved seeing Dolly learn how to find a healthier balance. 🥰 This story follows Dolly, a single mom who agrees to a fake dating arrangement to help pay for her family’s expenses. What starts as a practical solution turns into so much more, with plenty of heart, humor, and personal growth along the way. Another enjoyable read from Annabel Monaghan! 💕 by @risssreadz

Same Time Next Summer 👰🏼 🐚 🤍 4⭐️ Genre: romance Author: Annabel Monaghan … Hi! Do yall remember me? 😭 Seasonal depression really is a thing & I hit a pretty big book slump but we are back! Back to stressing out about not having enough time to read all the books I want to read 🤣 This was my first read by Annabel Monaghan & I thoroughly enjoyed her writing. I will definitely be adding more of her books to my list this summer. Sam is engaged to Jack, a straight edge, do everything by the book kinda guy. They venture back to Sam’s families beach house to do some wedding planning where Sam runs into her first love, Wyatt. Their childhood love was something they both never truly let go. Sam is faced to confront her past & figure out who she is & who she wants to be!🫶🏼 by @risssreadz

Is She Really Going Out with Him? 💖🌸🎀👛💞 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: romance Author: Sophie Cousens … Anna Appleby is learning how to navigate being divorced. She does everything in her power to not let her past define who she is. As a columnist, she decides to write a new & refreshed column about dating that occurs offline. The fun twist? She allows her kids to pick the next runner up! Anna is one of those main characters you instantly fall in love with. Her humor & personality was real & intriguing. I loved that through out the book there was a focus to take in the moment & not always be glued to your screen. The ending was everything I needed in my life 🤩 by @risssreadz

I LOVED every single book. I read them slow bc I didn’t want them to end. The True Love Experiment 💥💓 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: romance Author: Christina Lauren … Oh hunnnay, this book had the perfect amount of🌶️. I love that about Christina Lauren’s book, she never over does it! The True Love Experiment is the 2nd book of a sequel, The Soulmate Equation. I liked this one a lot more! Fizzy is a romance writer & Conner is a TV producer. The two pair up to create a reality TV dating show which stars Fizzy as the “bachelorette.” Fizzy’s electric personality & banter she throws at Conner had me loving her from the start. This book is definitely for my romance girlies! 💗 by @risssreadz

The Book Club Hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: holiday fiction Author: Sarah Morgan … Idk about you but sometimes it’s really hard for me to find holiday reads that I LOVE. I’m here to tell you though that this one of them. It’s sooo cozy & perfect for this time of year. I wanted to post this early so you can add this to your TBRs for December. I rated it 4 stars but as I keep thinking on it, it was probably closer to 4.5. I don’t see many reviews on it ever but I promise I wouldn’t steer you in the wrong direction! Three college friends have a tradition that every year they meet somewhere different for their book club. They never picked a time around the holidays to leave their families but this year they did! One of the girls picked a cozy hotel in Vermont called the Maple Sugar Inn. Can’t get much better than that right?! But it does! Each person is going through a different situation in their lives so they use this time to spend time together, unwind & read their book. This is one of those books where you’ll want to book a girls trip to Vermont ASAP. by @risssreadz

PS: I Hate You ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: romance Author: Lauren Connolly … Maddie Sandersons brother, Josh has passed away from cancer. His dying wish is that she goes to spread his ashes in 8 destination that he never got to visit. There’s only a smalllll catch. Josh’s best friend, Dom is required to join her on all of these adventures. A while back Dom broke Maddie’s heart & she is not going to let him get away with that again. I was swoooooning through out this entire book. Maddie was definitely a character I could relate to, along with her sarcastic humor. The ending was not what I had predicted at all! by @risssreadz

The Matchmaker 💕 💞💓💗 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: contemporary romance Author: Elin Hilderbrand … Wow. What a well-written, moving story. This book sucked me in from page 1 & I was immediately drawn to each character. The Matchmaker gave me Safe Haven/A Walk to Remember vibes but dare I say, way better? I was feeling all the feels towards the end but very worth the read. Elin can do no wrong! Dabney has always had a gift for match making. She has set up 42 happy couples that remain together. While setting up her closest friends she faces some very heavy obstacles of her own. Her “true love” is back on Nantucket & she has never felt more confused or alive all at the same time. Hearts are broken & secrets become unveiled. by @risssreadz

The Boyfriend 🍷✂️🩸 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: psychological thriller Author: Freida McFadden … I haven’t read a Freida book I didn’t like! I was excited to choose her new release, The Boyfriend for BOTM for October. I have to admit, this one didn’t grab my attention as fast as some of her other books. It took me awhile to get into it but once I did I had to finish the book to find out how the story ends! This novel centers from dual POVs & two timelines (past & present.) The main character, Sydney Shaw is living in NYC trying to find her soulmate through the ‘beloved’ dating apps. She goes on a few terrible dates until she is convinced she found The One. It’s not until one of her neighbors is murdered that she starts to question things. Kill For Me, Kill For You 💔❗️🩸💉 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Genre: psychological thriller Author: Steve Cavanagh … This thriller will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time reading it. This was one of those novels that I wanted to cancel all my plans for so I could keep reading more. Amanda & Ruth meet over drinks one night and realize they have a lot in common with one another - more than they had thought. They make a pact to take revenge for each other against the men who destroyed their families. This is exactly what I needed to kick off spooky szn 👻 I loved the little Dolly Parton references towards the end bc who doesn’t love Dolly. Best thriller I’ve read in a while & definitely recommend if you’re looking for something spooky/gripping this month! by @risssreadz

Business Casual 🍃 🍁 🍂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Genre: contemporary romance Author: B.K. Borison … Nova Porter, a tattoo shop owner & Charlie Milford, a city boy, share an attraction towards each other which they think they can start & stop in one night. That one night may or may not lead to other things. I went back & forth on whether or not I wanted to post a review for this book. This is the first book I read out of this series/author & I really wanted to like it. I want to preface this by saying I am not big on “spice.” I like it sprinkled in at times but that’s about it. So, if you love spicy scenes and you’re looking for a cute fall book this could definitely be for you!! by @risssreadz
