10.19.26 Yellow.
For most of yesterday I thought it was Monday and a different calendar date. I’ll take the day as a bonus!

10.13.26 This drawing wrung itself out of me, making about as much sense as Cocteau Twins lyrics. There are days I question this process, this ridiculous commitment to daily mark-making. Lots of those lately. There are also days that, despite not vibing or being in the zone or flow state or whatever it is, you just get to work. Need more of those.

I have work on view in 2 places: solo show @riversideartscenter through 10/31 and in a group show in Fond du Lac, WI @thelmaarts51 . Just go!

10.11.26 Sunday. Slowing it down in here after a few really fun and full days of art, culture, socializing.

10.2.26 This was a tough week to process our world, particularly US culture. The conceptual volleying between AI and SA conversations, the reopening of wounds, the age-old and very real threats to women, the doomsday alarms have been palpable. Lots of people on one edge or another. I am lucky to have a practice that offers me momentary respite from worries. #dailydrawingpractice #colorasfeeling #dimensionaldrawing #artprocess #studiolife taken in Geneva, Illinois by @ritagrendze

10.1.26 Thursday that looks just like Wednesday.
On a practical note: I found a nice, solid wood, affordable frame ( deep 2” shadow box) that works well for this series with physical dimensions. Elevates my daily practice to something more finished, more “art.” DM if you have acquired a piece and need help preserving! taken in Geneva, Illinois by @ritagrendze

9.30.26 Rainy Wednesday morning. Smoke detector misfired at 2, darling husband snored from 3, ceiling leak sprouted third drip at 10. Somewhere in there I got a bit more sleep and even managed to brew a second cup of coffee. Nothing to see here…
