Thinking of my grandmother. And finding images in lightning. Even though we spoke a different vocabulary at times, we meant the same thing. Sometimes our vocabulary was not the same. And we had to explain things. Remember when “bad” meant good- yeah that kind of thing. My grandmother could recite poems. The only thing I can recite is the preamble to the constitution thanks to school house rock. We all got an A in 8th grade that year. The teacher asked, “why are you all singing it”. I started this piece (peace) 25 years ago, from a lost opportunity. I was asked to make a series of peace fairies for a cool gallery( I later found out) I thought about it too long and they filled their calendar. Today on this Sagittarius full moon my son walks through a portal called high school graduation! I’ve been looking through the pictures remembering all the stages. I chose a few to share here. A few themes came out. First he was and is a magician of fun and was a wonderful child. Also a picky eater so I tried to make food fun. He grew out of that. When he was 5, I thought I lost him he was no where in the house, then I found him asleep with Cima, our first dog. I learned to look there first. Our children teach us so many things. And it takes a great father, thanks Craig, and a village! I am so grateful to all and I am so proud. Blessings❤️ by @ritas_moondance

Libra full moon 🌕…. Was feeling compressed. Dads had a nasty cough and I didn’t get the classes I wanted. I know It could be worse. I’m posting some sculptures I’ve been working on. I found an apple in my yard. I left it there and a whole thing followed. There might also be a picture of an art installation from winter light festival. And what I could capture of the lunar eclipse. Too cloudy. I’ve been getting more acquainted with the moon cycles. I didn’t realize it at first but I was posting the moon. I decided to make it a practice. The moon is a good teacher. My dad and I both have Leo moons, so I took him out to the river to see the Leo full moon rise. The cold moon. I hoped to find something about the polarity to Aquarius. The polarity of self and the many. I felt the tension and flow of the polarity this month. I felt it ramp up as the full moon drew near. I saw so much authentic and beautiful expressions from individuals and groups standing up for human rights and courage to say what needs to be said. It makes me proud to be human. I found Venus inside an apple. I watched as the form decomposed. Have you seen the giant skeletons in the yard’s, I’m always surprised when I see them. There is a giant goddess tree in my neighbors yard. I wonder if others have seen her. I put Venus in the hermit crabs home. They adore her. They stared at her for a whole day. They sleep at her feet most nights.
