Last week, CHST pinned 28 new diagnostic medical sonographers, ready to meet growing demand for skilled imaging professionals. Sonographers help physicians detect, diagnose, and monitor conditions across nearly every area of healthcare, and our graduates are stepping into work that shapes patient care from day one.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Rochester Institute of Technology proudly congratulates Dr. Hamad Ghazle on being named an AIUM Fellow by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

This distinguished recognition reflects over 30 years of dedication to clinical excellence, education, leadership, and advancement within the field of diagnostic medical sonography. As Director of the Ultrasound Program and Department Head of Clinical Sciences, Dr. Ghazle has played an instrumental role in shaping the next generation of sonographers while elevating the standards of ultrasound education nationally.

His commitment to mentorship, innovation, research, and professional service has had a lasting impact not only on our students and faculty, but on the profession as a whole. The designation of AIUM Fellow is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated significant contributions to the field, and Dr. Ghazle’s career exemplifies that distinction.

We are honored to celebrate this achievement and grateful for the leadership, vision, and integrity he brings to our program every day. Congratulations, Dr. Ghazle, on this well-deserved honor. by @ritdms
