POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Here’s a clip from my set for Site @thegoatfarm. This song is called Ujjayi, which is a controlled method of breathing, and can be used to reduce your heart rate, lower blood pressure, and stress levels. Who doesn’t need that at this point in history? Or any point in history, for that matter.

It was originally released on an ambient album I put out under the Cortex Accelera moniker, called Bliss Flows, back in 2015. It’s available for purchase and streaming everywhere, if you’d like to hear the full track and zone the f$*# out.

There are voices in the recording, if that’s a question that comes to mind while listening. I thought it would be interesting to hear how they interact with anyone in the room that may be speaking, so I started without announcing to the audience and mission accomplished! This set does pick up in energy quite drastically, so stay tuned for more clips!

Much appreciation to @melodicmonster for capturing the moment! taken in Goat Farm by @ritualcommunications

Just wanted to share some footage from our performance @thegoatfarm! It was immensely gratifying to be a part of this project and have an opportunity to share some pieces I created for my Cortex Accelera output. Much appreciation and love to all who shared their talents to make this happen! It was an absolute pleasure working with you all!

None of this would have happened, without our leading lady, Medusai! Thank you, Dr. Gil Weinberg, for your innovation and allowing us to interact with her. Special thanks to @alliebashuk for facilitating this whole adventure. Let’s do this again sometime! taken in Goat Farm by @ritualcommunications

I’ve got a few updates on @lunargatewaysounds to share. Recordings for the 4th album have been underway for some time and I’m optimistic about the results. It’s far from ready, but progress is being made and new ideas are being conjured on a consistent basis.

Today, we’re playing in Simpsonville,South Carolina for @hauntfest.athens and it’s gonna be a wild one! On October 8th, we play @masquerade_atl with @deceits_band and @computer_kill on their nationwide tour. Let’s go! by @ritualcommunications

Next Friday I will be releasing the first Cortex Accelera song in 5 years. Almost. I had no intentions of taking a break from releasing music for the project, so I’m as surprised as anyone to realize it’s been so long. Thankfully, recording has never stopped, so there’s a lot to finalize and share in the near future.

The piece of music that I’ll be releasing is a 13 minute composition called “Lament For Impending Doom” and it was created for a recent live performance @eyedrum. The heavy handed title seemed both appropriate and humorous to me and I couldn’t let it go once the thought came to mind. Apocalyptic ideas that stemmed from AI and automation were spinning around in my head at the time and I tried to represent those in my choice of instrumentation and tonality. That and the contrast/conflict between man-made “progress” and the natural environment we find ourselves in.

This one will only be available on Bandcamp and Soundcloud. I’ll post some links next Friday! Promo vid shot and edited by me. by @ritualcommunications

Yes this is something like a figure drawing but instead of holding poses for large amounts of time there will be a state of flow

I am asking for you to not think about perfecting our bodies but instead to capture the energy of our relationships to each other, to the sound, to the space, and to you

Take a snapshot of your memory from a move that struck you like a whale diving into the ocean or a dolphin flipping in the air or a flock of seagulls going after fish

Think of water and be with flow

I Love you, and am looking forward to being in this moment with you

Thank you to my collaborators
