Happy Sunday, my friends! Here is my card #2 for the #alexsyberiadesigns Spring Meadows Collection.

For this card, I really really tried to use the Spring Tulips stencil set in the traditional way; however, due to my very heavy-handed ink blending style 😮‍💨, it kept turning out really clunky 🫣. I finally decided to just trace the stencil for the general shape of the petals, then watercolor the tulips myself! I was playing around with a new set of watercolors that were much creamier than I prefer (turns out...they are marketed as gouache!), so even the watercoloring turned out clunky. I then got a little carried away with the foam tape, using bits and bobs that I had leftover from prior projects. 🤪🤭😂💕. I added an in-process picture as well. I hope you like how this turned out!

I had one more card that I had forgotten to share, using the April 2025 products from #alexsyberiadesign .

Anyone who know me knows vy now that, if I am given a background stamp, plate, die, whatever, I am going to cut it apart and rearrange it. If I am given focal images, there is a high probability that I will use it all over the card like a background. 🤭😂💕 Luckily, Alex encourages creativity and allows me to do whatever! This one used the Abstract BG Plate on the black BG. Not sure you can even see that in the pictures. The flowers were from the Charming Florals BG Plate. Hope you like this slim shaker!

Y'all KNOW that I usually end up with BOLD cards. But, sometimes, I need something more understated...like for a get well card or a sympathy card...and I never have anything appropriate. Then, I end up with either a store-bought (gasp!) card or a throw-together one. This was my 1st attempt at something more elegant. It just ended up looking like an old-lady card. 😮‍💨 That's appropriate, I suppose, since that is what I am! 🫣😄🤭

I am including an in-process picture this time, because the colors are truer on that picture. There's no detailed shading on that one yet, but all of the pictures of the card ended up much warmer than IRL. Also, I have no idea what those varicose veins are doing on that one tulip. If you don't see it, I am not going to point it out. 🤭😂

I used my usual Karin markers and sparkly bits on the Sunset Sway digi stamp from #powerpoppy

It's Hump Day! I am hoping that these bright cards will help to pick up your spirits.

These were really quick cards using @alexsyberiadesigns new press plates. I used Abstract Floral Background, Charming Floral Background, as well as Classic Sentiments. I also used glossy cardstock for all of the BG panels. For the rainbow one, I foiled the Abstract Floral plate onto a glossy piece of glossy cardstock that I had pounced with regular Distress inks. All of the other BG panels were from a SSS pack of pre-blended glossy cardstock (told you these were quick!). For the pink & red one, I just glued the leftover foil from the rainbow card onto the BG panel. For the green one, I foiled a piece of acetate (it was going to be a shaker card) and glued that to the BG panel! Quick! Awesome...I needed some cards!

Happy Saturday, my friends! Well, probably Sunday for most of you...

The colors on this card that I made for the @alexsyberiadesigns March 2025 press plates release were inspired by the colors that I saw on a @tyoocat creation. Hers was floaty & transparent & soft, and I was mesmerized. Of course, I couldn't achieve a soft look to save my life. I should have known better! 🫣😄 Similarly, the design was inspired by a project by @rachelrdesigns...again, soft and floaty. Yeah, that didn't work out either, so I removed all of the fussy-cut vellum blooms that I had tucked behind the colorful flowers to mimic Raquel's amazing style. Apparently, I don't do gentle. I stomp into a room! 😉😄😂

I did give the soft look another try though. That result was posted yesterday. Check it out to see how successful I was at a more elegant, quieter look. 🤪

Oh, also, there's no sentiment on this one, because BOTH my Glimmer machine AND my diecutting machine died yesterday! My BetterPress inks are bone dry, since the lids got jarred during my recent move from TX to FL - so that wasn't an option. I was too much of a chicken 🐥🐔 to stamp directly on the card, since I couldn't use my stamp platform with all of that dimension already on the card!! So, it's going sentiment-naked. 🥰🤗💕

Plates Used: Abstract Background Press Plate for the leaves and dry embossed for the BG panel, Abstract Floral Background Press Plate for the blooms (fussy cut 2 clusters of flowers)
Technique: Wet on wet watercoloring with Karin markers on Arches coldpress watercolor paper. Solution of 50/50 water/Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust was used in place of clean water.

Please be kind! It has been a loooooong time since my last post! I really hope you like it!

I started this card with every intention of posting it on St. Patrick's Day. Clearly, I missed my mark, and this took much more time than i anticipated! 🤪

I found this panel that I think I stamped years ago & never got around to coloring (#altenew Flower Garden) I thought I would finish it for a crafty friend's upcoming birthday. She has asked that I not include a sentiment on the front, so that she can display it whenever. Yay for friends that don't throw my cards away! 🥰💕

I used Karin markers and Ink on 3 Liquid Pixie Dust. I used Altenew Watercolor Brushmarkers for the intense black BG.

Happy Saturday, my friends! I'ved been working on our house renovation (there is a lot of shopping to do!) & have fallen so behind on IG! Today is June 15th, which, in our house, is Tiara Day! Thankfully, the rain has finally stopped in SW Florida & the flood waters haved receded. So I'm just hanging by the pool & eating watermelon & sporting my new tiara!

These are a few cards that I haven't yet posted from @alexsyberiadesigns 's last release. They feature the Mysterious Petals Die Set, the Beautiful Day stamp set & cover die, the Chevron Chic Cover Die, and an older Nested Scalloped Frames Die set.

Hey! Happy weekend! It's been a while. I hope y'all have something wonderful planned....

What a struggle this one was! I thought I was just really rusty, but it turns out that I grabbed the wrong paper for the type of watercolors I was using. It turned out OK in the end (thanks to @alexsyberiadesigns and @huh_what_pardon for encouraging me to finish it, rather than throw it out). I still think it would have been better off without that purple background. What do you think? I included a picture of it BEFORE I started on the purple!
