HOURS UPDATE:

Moving into autumn and winter our hours will shorten slightly. We will be closed for lunch on Mondays, and dinner will be served until 8pm Sunday-Thursday and 9pm on Friday and Saturday.

In an ode to the season and the history of the building, we're sipping on the Golden Apple.

Canadian Bearface whiskey, Goldschläger cinnamon schnapps, Pernod, and fresh apple cider mingle together in a crisp and spiced drink that is reminiscent of the perfect fall day 🍂🍁

Today we lost our sweet angel Lisu.

For 25 years, she has been part of our restaurant family, starting at Casa Bella and spending the last 6 years at Riva. Her warm hospitality and radiant smile brightened everyone’s day. She had the kind of generous spirit that touched everyone she met.

Lisu loved her family and friends so much. If you were lucky enough to know her, you will treasure forever the memory of that friendship.

Our hearts go out to Colin, Kaleb, Oliver and Ruby, her sister and brothers and extended family.

Lisu had the gift of seeing the best in everyone and always pointed out to you what she admired about you. She comforted you if you were down and celebrated your joy with you when you were up. We know she is looking over us now and taking care of us as she did during her life.

We will always miss you, Lisu. Our hearts are broken that you have left, but your shining memory will be with us always. ❤️ taken in Riva Restaurant by @riva1000islands

Happy long weekend!

Next Monday, September 14th, the restaurant will be closed to the public as we treat our hardworking team to some very well deserved food and drink after an exceptionally busy summer.

Every Tuesday on the front patio we'll be serving pinsa starting at 6pm. Pinsa is a traditional Roman flatbread, similar to pizza.

Pair it with live jazz and a glass of wine, and suddenly the start of the week is something to celebrate 🙌✨

Our cantinetta services the front patio as a casual walk up to order drinks and small snacks. It's open from 3pm onwards on Tuesdays and Thursdays for our live music nights, and Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm onwards for summertime luxuriating with friends (or a quiet moment alone!)
