Recapping this summer's drag, starting with Billings Goth Day back in May!! Quite the fun event, did a silly lil number with Tony and the night ended rather chaotically but overall I had a great time 🖤🖤🖤 by @river.dyx

hiii! I wasn't active in drag shows this fall after Pride spring and summer, but that doesn't mean I skipped drag looks and faces! After Helena pride (pic 2), parties abounded at home and ofc costumes are mandatory at those.. I also played as Brad in @fruitbagtheatre 's 2nd annual Rocky Horror, and I still miss that crew & the show itself sm!!
Still thinking through this new era of this dude -I will update y'all as decisions emerge. For now, one big change has to do with my pronouns! I go by they and he. As my internal deconstruction of gender deepens, I'm learning more n more that people will view you/your gender how they will, and if they choose to disrespect your queerness, it says much, much more about their stance/education on this social construct than it does about you and your presentation.
No matter how much a freak ya are, you're welcome here.
❤️ you all!!! by @river.dyx

Bozeman Pride! First time performing in hometown pride, and decided to conceptualize this number to honor queer folx, alive and martyred, under occupation.
~
Collective liberation means that none of us are truly free until all of us are. Jaded Blowie is first and foremost a rebel, who wants you to feel seen and fought for.
~
Pride was/is a riot, was/is a protest, and I have been/am really fucking angry that we have a genocidal gov't who sends our tax dollars to violence over brown population after brown population. That they value oil $$ over the welfare of the people of their own land. And that they can somehow sleep at night knowing they are actively aiding mass death and suffering worldwide. I'm thinking about these things often, but especially this pride month.
~
That being said, radical self love and joy in the face of a largely homophobic world are revolutionary acts. We balance remembering those who came before, hoping for what's to come, and living as much in the moment as we possibly can, altogether.
Love you, comrades. See you around the state ❤️‍🔥 by @river.dyx
