HEB is NOW OPEN in San Marcos! What are we calling this one?? It's always been the "big" and "small" HEB in town 😅

This long awaited location at the corner of I-35 N and McCarty Ln was packed for opening day.

People were in line since 6pm last night. The hype is REAL. With #smtx continuing to grow, getting an HEB in an accessible location on the east side of I-35 will make a huge difference for the locals.

Mexico on Film Pt. 4 📸 The B&W Collection

Playa del Carmen was the perfect place to adventure around town with the boys before heading to Tulum. One morning I grabbed my only roll of black and white film and went for a walk.

Color has always been a big part of my media work, so for the sake of creative growth I've been challenging myself to shoot in black and white.

Lighting, contrast, and composition are everything when you can't rely on color for expression. Enjoy some shots from my first ever roll of B&W film.

Mexico on 35mm Film 📸 Pt. 1

Went to Playa del Carmen and Tulum to celebrate the marriage of two of my favorite people. Took nearly 300 photos on two film cameras.

Traveling and partying with such a great group of people made for a special week. Thank you to all the new and old friends for all the lifelong memories.

Congrats @verry__kerry and @haydenengeling ♥️

It's FOWLER FRIDAY so let's break down this fun graphic design project. 🎨

Texas singer-songwriter @garethfowlermusic has built a strong following in the Hill Country, now earning a monthly residency at @middletonbrewing near San Marcos and Wimberley.

A shared love for nature and the desire to create good vibes in a wild world has already made this collaboration successful, and it made me want to make some impactful digital posters to help keep growing the community of regulars that love listening to Gareth and drinking Middleton beer.

I took this photo of Gareth playing at Middleton three years ago. I used this sick Merle Haggard poster for inspiration on how to edit/texturize the photograph and considered breaking out my tablet to actually hand-paint the elements in Photoshop, but instead I decided to make something in Canva for the sake of Gareth being able to edit text as needed.

A paper texture poster plus a series of unique motion posters was the result. I utilized Middleton's deep teal color and nature videos (and a beer pour) to grab attention and take advantage of social media algorithms prioritizing videos.

Middleton's taproom has a special vibe on Fowler Fridays, and I hope this poster reflects that in a way that encourages others to come support a wonderful local business and listen to real Texas music.

TONIGHT my favorite local singer songwriter is playing at my favorite local brewery.

See @garethfowlermusic at @middletonbrewing from 6-9pm this evening, April 10th.

There's nothing like a cold beer and some real country music in the Texas Hill country to wind down a long week. Bring your friends. 🍻

Film has complete changed the way I view photography. My entire career has been with very modern mirrorless cameras, giving me all the flexibility and tools I need to cover up my mistakes.

Film offers no such luxuries and forces me to take my time for each shot and really think about composition and lighting. It's making me better as a professional, but also prompting new artistic creativity with things like double exposures and colored flash.

Enjoying the journey with this little party camera, but definitely looking for a more manual camera to refine my exposure triangle skills.

Gareth Fowler playing Albert Ice House on 35mm film 📸 January 2nd, 2026

Took a quick drive into the hill country to see my buddy perform and snap some photos at this old school country bar.

Playing with some long exposures, doubles, and getting more used to the LomoApparat in low light.
